Alcoholic Beverage Control Board

The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board is established as a regulatory and quasi-judicial agency for control of the manufacture, barter, possession, and sale of alcoholic beverages in the state. Alaska is a "license" state with issuance of licenses by the board to private business.

Notice

In accordance with its authority under AS 04.11.295 the board will require all applicants for renewal of their liquor licenses as appropriate to provide fingerprints. The board will submit the fingerprints to the Department of Public Safety to obtain a report of criminal justice information under AS 12.62 and a nationalcriminal history records check. Any comments or questions regarding this requirementshould be directed to the the main office of the ABC Board.

The next Alcoholic Beverage Control Board meeting will be February 26, 2010.
