The base monthly salary for a State Trooper Recruit varies based on geographic location.
Starting Salary Trooper Recruit
- State Trooper Recruit $26.16 per hour/$4,535.00 per month
- State Trooper Recruit with a 4 year college degree $27.14 per hour/$4,705.00 per month
Starting Salary State Trooper Lateral (certified law enforcement officers with at least one year of qualified experience)
- State Trooper Lateral $30.31 per hour/$5,254.00 per month
- State Trooper Lateral with a 4 year college degree $31.45 per hour/$5,451.00 per month
