Lead On! For Peace and Equality in Alaska
Lead On represents a group of youth and adults from across Alaska who are committed to solving the puzzle of violence in our state. A goal is to shift norms around respect, and sexual and teen dating violence. A three-day summit includes national speakers, Alaska youth speakers, and Alaskan adults who provide inspiration, tools, and opportunities for youth to promote respect. Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run combines an interactive curriculum with training to run a 5k. The goal is to inspire self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls. Girls on the Run is operating in several schools throughout Alaska. “Let Me Run”, a program for boys similar to Girls on the Run, is also being implemented in Ketchikan. Call you local shelter program to find out how to get involved in this program in your community or call our office and ask for the Prevention Coordinator.
The Stand Up Speak Up Campaign
