A Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Klawock Case number: AK13002700 Type: Death Investigation Text: On 1/12/2013 at approximately 1326 hours, Klawock AST received a repo rt of an unexpected death at a residence on Salt Chuck Lane outside Klawock . Subsequent investigation revealed that Ahnawake Robertson, 88 years old formally of Oklahoma, had died of natural causes. Next of kin was present at the time of death and the State of Alaska Medical Examiner's Office was notified. No foul play is suspected and the remains were released to the f amily. Troopers contacted Vinc entarnor T. Filkins, age 24, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Filkins assaulted a family member at the residence and was in violation of his bail conditions. Filkins was arrested and remanded into custody at Mat-Su Pr etrial Facility where he was held without bail. Investigation determined that Duplechain was operating a motor vehic le with a revoked license. Duplechain was issued a misdemeanor citation to appear at a later date and released on scene. Investigation revealed Crabtree was not allowed to be at the residence or in contact with another person who was at the residence due to conditions of release from a prior arrest. Investigation revealed Vero nica V. Williamson, age 22 of Wasilla, had operated and rolled the Saturn on Spruce Avenue near the intersection of Lacy Loop. Further inve stigation revealed Williamson was impaired and under the influence of alcoh ol while operating the vehicle. Williamson reported not wearing her seat belt and had no injuries. Willow Fishhook Road and Hawley Street, in Willow. Investigation re vealed that Tanya T. Matchian, age 39, of Willow, was operating the veh icle while impaired by alcohol and in violation of her instructional permit . Further investigation revealed Matchian was not allowed to consume alcohol according to her conditions set upon her release from jail on a previous offense. Matchian was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Violating Conditions of Release, and Driving in Violation of an Instruct ional Permit. Matchian was transported to the Willow AST Substation where she refused to submit to a chemical test. She was also charged wit h Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Matchian was transported to the Mat Su Pretrial Facility where she was held without bail pend ing arraignment. Apokedak showed shows of intoxication, had an odor of alcohol on his breath & person, and admitted to operating the grader when questioned by the VPSO. Apokedak failed a series of sobriety tests was arrested for DUI. He was transported to Dillingham for breath testing and remanded at the Dillingham jail. Alakayak is currently on conditions of release and not to consume alcohol. The VPSO contacted Alakayak and noted he had alcohol on his breath and person. Alakayak refused to provide a sample of his breath for the VPSO as required on his conditions of release and also threatened to kill the VPSO. Alakayak was arrested on the charges above and transported to the Dillingham Jail. Investigation of the scene revealed Cassidy Meghan Evans age 16 of Palmer was driving south on the Parks Hwy when her vehicle slid on th e ice-covered roadway and rolled onto its top and into the ditch along the south side of the highway. Evans reported wearing a seatbelt and reporte d possible injuries. Damages to Evans vehicle are estimated at $8000.00. In vestigation revealed Stacy Marie Schneider, age 30 of Wasilla, was driving her white 2000 Ford Explorer north on the Parks Hwy when she deactivated he r cruise control which caused her vehicle to immediately slow, which in tur n caused the rear of her vehicle to slide on the ice-covered roadway. Sc hneider's vehicle slid off the edge of the road and rolled over several tim es until it stopped upright in the south bound lane of the Parks Hwy. Sc hneider was wearing her seatbelt and reported minor injuries. Her passen gers, Matthew Timothy Schneider, age 32, was wearing his seatbelt and repor ted minor injuries. An infant was properly restrained in a child's safet y seat and was uninjured. Schneider's vehicle was estimated a total loss .
