The investigation revealed that Gabriel Pierce, age 30 of Ketchikan, lost control of his 1995 Jeep Wrangler when he encountered black ice on the roadway. The vehicle slid off of the highway, struck the ditch, and rolled over. Pierce was wearing his seatbelt and not injured. Alcohol was not a factor. Damage was estimated at $6000. Upon arrival Troopers contacted Heather R. Puckett, age 37, of Big Lake. Puckett began challenging Troopers at the scene to fight and recklessly created a hazardous condition for other in the process. Upon arrival Troopers contacted Joseph F. Wright, age 35 of Wasilla and Juanita R. Polty, age 42 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Polty had an active warrant for her arrest for failure to appear with an original charge of driving while license revoked. Further investigation revealed Wright had two active warrants for his arrest; one for failure to satisfy j udgment with an original charge of assault and the second one for failure to comply with ASAP with an original charge of DUI. Polty was arrested for her outstanding warrant and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was held with $1000.00 bail. Text: On 12-4-12 Samuel Davis, 23 of Elim, was convicted of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree (MICS 4) and Importation of Alcohol after pleading guilty to the charges. Davis was charged after investigation showed he was in possession of a large quantity of marijuana and a bottle of liquor en route to Elim, a local option community. Davis received 90 days imprisonment with 87 days suspended for the alcohol importation conviction. Davis received a suspended imposition of sentence with 12 months of imprisonment for the MICS 4 conviction. Investigation resulted in the seizure of 3.6 ounces of mariju ana packaged for sale, with a street value of $5,125.00. Text: On 1-18-13, a grand jury in Juneau issued the following indictments: Eleven counts of MICS II and five counts of Purchase or receipt of restricted amounts of certain chemicals against David Pierce, age 36, of Oregon. Three counts of MICS II against Gary Chamblin, age 49, of Hoonah. Four counts of MICS II and one count of Purchase or receipt of restricted amounts of certain chemicals against Lindsey Yandell, age 24, of Juneau. Two counts of MICS II against Danelle Barlow, age 29, of Juneau. Two counts of MICS II against Clarissa Paulo, age 46, of Juneau. Three counts of MICS II and five counts of Purchase or receipt of restricted amounts of certain chemicals against Benjamin Parson, age 35, of Juneau. Three counts of MICS II and eight counts of Purchase or receipt of restricted amounts of certain chemicals against Jennifer Hartsock, age 36, of Juneau. Twenty eight of the counts originated from an investigation on 10-10-12, when the Hoonah Police Department requested the assistance of the Alaska Bureau of Investigation's Southeast Alaska Cities against Drugs (SEACAD) task force to process an active methamphetamine lab that was located inside a commercial structure. Pierce and Chamblin were located inside the commercial facility by Hoonah PD and were taken into custody. Inside the warehouse SEACAD discovered three active reaction vessels regarding the "One Pot" method of manufacturing methamphetamine. After processing the lab in Hoonah, SEACAD learned that Pierce purchased more than double the legally allowed amount of pseudoephedrine in a 30-day period from various pharmacies in Juneau. Pierce also utilized Yandell, Barlow, Paulo, Parson and Hartsock to obtain more than the legally allowed amount of pseudoephedrine. The other 19 counts originated from a related investigation that culminated with the execution of a search warrant on a residence belonging to Hartsock and Parson on 12-13-12. During the course of searching the residence six "One Pot" method methamphetamine labs and precursors associated with those labs were located inside the residence. Pierce and Chamblin have been in custody at Lemon Creek Correctional Center since 10-10-12, and felony arrest warrants were issued by the Juneau Court House on 10-18-12, for Parson in the amount of $25,000, for Hartsock in the amount of $20,000, for Paulo in the amount of $15,000, for Yandell in the amount of $10,000 and for Barlow in the amount of $10,000. The driver who was later identified as Noah C. Noes, age 31 of Wasilla failed to yield to emergency lights and siren, was later captured, placed under arrest for Felony DUI, Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer 1 and DWLR. Noes was transported to and remanded in MSPT with his bail set at $5,000 plus a CATP. Investigation revealed his Alaska driver's license was revoked for DUI and further that he was on probation for a prior felony offense. He was arrested for DUI and Probation Violation.
