Text: On 1/25/13 at approximately 0900 hours, Alaska State Troopers in Klawock contacted Judith M. Sellards, age 40 of Hollis, at a residence in Klawock. Sellards had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for violating conditions of release for a misdemeanor, and was taken into custody. Sellards was transported to the Craig jail facility and remanded into their custody with a bail set at $1000.00. AST contacted Joel Hicks, age 25 of Copper Center. Investigation determined that Hicks had an outstanding warrant for the original charge of DV Assault. Hicks was arrested on the warrant without incident and transported to the Glennallen Trooper Post pending arraignment. Investigation determined that Lionel Veal, age 53 of Valdez had assaulted a household member and was in possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that one of the firearms he possessed at the time of his intoxication was a "sawed-off" shotgun. Veal was arrested for MIW3, MIW4, and DV Assault 3. Veal was transported to the Glennallen Trooper Post and held pending arraignment. Investigation revealed 39-year-old James Wolsterman of Wasilla and 39-year-old Dennis Pickens of Wasilla, had burglarized the residence, damaged the front door, and stole numerous items to include a laptop, digital camera, and a cell phone. Both were arrested on 1/23/2013 at approximately 1024 hours. Both were held without bail at Mat-Su Pre-Trial. Investigation determined Timothy A. Hobson 31, physically assaulted a female during an argument when the two were intoxicated. Hobson was reported to have choked the female during the altercation. Hobson was subsequently arrested for assault in the 2nd degree and assault in the 4th degree. Hobson was transported to Dillingham and remanded at the Dillingham Jail pending arraignment. Investigation revealed that Randy Hunter (51 YOA of Wasilla) was driving his 2010 Peterbilt truck southbound in very poor visibility when he rear ended a 2001 Kenworth truck that was driven by Eric Kennedy (53 YOA of Anchorage). Neither occupant reported injuries and the trucks sustained minor damages. An investigation by Troopers revealed that Smicker stated he qualified for a 2011 Resident Sport Fish License when in fact he did not meet the minimum qualifications for the license. Village (a village near St. Marys, AK) that took place on 1-8-13, in Anchorage, by members of the Alaska State Troopers Western Alaska Alcohol & Narcotics Team (WAANT). Subsequently, indictments were handed down on Nina M. Joe, age 20, Pamela F. Cano, age 25, and April L. Walters, age 27, all of Anchorage. All three women, who had family ties to Mt. Village, were indicted on two counts of felony MICS 4th charges. ***Original Press Release*** Text: On 1-8-13, at about 1100 hours, Anchorage WAANT received information that a 20 year old female from Mountain Village, AK, would be traveling from Anchorage to St. Marys via commercial airline and would be smuggling marijuana. On 1-8-13, WAANT investigators made contact with the female at the Anchorage International Airport and seized one of the female's checked luggage after AST K-9 "Duncan" positively indicated for the odor of illegal drugs coming from the luggage. A search warrant was obtained and a subsequent search of the luggage resulted in the seizure of over 9 ounces of marijuana. The female suspect is expected to be charged with a single count of MICS 4th. This case will be forwarded to the Anchorage District Attorney's Office for their review. AK Bureau of Highway Patrol ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: AK13004931 Type: DUI Drugs Text: On 01-25-12, at 0049 hours, Alaska State Troopers with the Bureau of Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle in the ditch near mile 44 of the Parks Hwy. Troopers located a black 1998 Nissan sedan stuck in the ditch and observed it was occupied. The driver was identified as Carl L. Bond, age 47, of Wasilla. An investigation revealed Bond was operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs and he was placed under arrest for DUI drugs. Bond was then transported and remanded into the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held on $5000 bail plus a court approved third party.
