Investigation revealed an unidentified male entered the convenience store, shoplifted approximately $100 in alcohol, and fled on foot. Investigation revealed April Dietrich, age 53, of Talkeetna was traveling Northbound on the Talkeetna Spur Road when she collided with a moose. After the collision, her vehicle crossed the Southbound lane and drove through the snow berm. Her vehicle rolled multiple times in the ditch before coming to rest alongside of the bike path. Dietrich was entrapped in the vehicle and was extricated by Talkeetna Fire/Rescue. She was treated by Talkeetna EMS and was transported to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. Dietrich's vehicle was totaled in the collision. Investigation revealed that Glenn F. Massay, age 81, of Trapper Creek, drove his vehicle to the Talkeetna State Trooper Post and took his own life with a firearm. Talkeetna EMS discovered that Massay displayed an organized electrical rhythm and began CPR. Life Med responded to the scene and Massay was later pronounced deceased on scene. The SMEs Office was notified responded to take possession of Massay's body. The next of kin notification has been notified. Investigation revealed Kirk Chauncey (age 37 of Girdwood) initiated a fight with Kris Holum (age 26 of Girdwood) when he struck the hood of the vehicle occupied by Holum several times with his fist. Then Chauncey ran up to Holum and grabbed him causing a physical altercation. Alcohol was a factor. Chauncey was arrested for Assault 4 and remanded to Anchorage Jail on $250 bail. Investigation resulted in the seizure of 7-750ML bottles of distilled spirits, and 2-two liter soda bottles full of distilled spirits from Simon's checked bags. The driver was identified as Leonard D. Hummell, age 25, of Wasilla. An investigation revealed Hummell was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license for failing to maintain liability insurance. Hummell was placed under arrest for driving on a suspended license. Hummell was then transported and remanded into the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held on his own recognizance with conditions not to drive. The driver was identified as Mong Xiong, age 19, of Anchorage. An investigation revealed Xiong was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol and he was placed under arrest for DUI. Xiong was also found to be in possession of marijuana on his person. During the investigation Troopers were notified that there was a handgun in the Honda. Troopers located the weapon and a check of its serial number revealed it was stolen out of Anchorage. Xiong was subsequently charged with Theft II for the stolen handgun, misconduct involving a controlled substance in the sixth degree, misconduct involving a weapon in the 4th degree, minor operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol and minor consuming alcohol. Xiong was transported and remanded into the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held on $5000 bail on all charges. Peters Creek for a speeding violation. The driver was identified as Dmitri A. Christensen, age 20, of Anchorage. An investigation revealed Christensen was operating the vehicle while impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol. Christensen was placed under arrest for DUI, MOCA, MCA and MICS 6 after a small amount of marijuana was located on his person.
