Investigation revealed Charles had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for the original charge of failure to satisfy ASAP conditions for a previous DUI. Sharon was arrested on the warrant and remanded into the MSPT facility in Palmer and held on $100 bail. AST contacted Rory Stuhff, age 35 of Wasilla, during the incident. Investigation revealed Stuhff had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failure to appear to arraignment for the original charges of driving while license suspended and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the sixth degree. Stuhff was arrested and remanded into the MSPT facility in Palmer and held on $750 bail with a third party custodian condition. Hasty teams were contacted and preparing to ride due to a blizzard warning that lasted until 1/29/13. Before any searcher was able to deploy, Adrian called to say he'd arrived safely in Tuntutuliak and did not require any further assistance. No funds were expended, nor were any searchers deployed. Alcohol was not known to be a factor. Suspects pried a sheet of plywood off the freight door on the back of the store. They stole a RC Helicopter ($60) and some soft drinks ($40). Estimated value of stolen items is $100. After coordinates of their location was provided, the Alaska Army National Guard crew in a UH-60 Black Hawk was able to recover the teens. Both were transported to Bethel where they were taken to the local hospital to be checked out and treated. Text: On 01/28/13 at approximately 1740 hours, AST received a report from Bethel Search and Rescue stating two teenage hunters, 18-year-old Phillip Charlie, and 16-year-old Sam Charlie, both of Bethel, had not returned home. Family last had contact with them at 1605 hours. The teens called using a cell phone and told family they were en route back to Bethel because of deteriorating weather. At approximately 1730 hours, after the teens failed to return home, family contacted Bethel Search and Rescue. On 01/29/13 the teens contacted family stating they were ok but lost. Both ground and air resources were dispatched from Bethel to the search area. At this time the search is still continuing. Updates to follow. Tommy Gregory Esmailka, 50 of Ruby, was subsequently arrested for Disorderly Conduct X 2. He was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center and remanded. Bail was set at $1,000.00. Investigation revealed Matthew Borgman (49 YOA of Wasilla) was driving a 2005 Kenworth Semi Truck northbound on the Parks Highway when he swerved to avoid a stopped car. The truck went into the ditch, causing the rear trailer to swing out into the southbound lane striking a stopped Ford van that was driven by John Witt (42 YOA of Fairbanks). Witt's van was pushed into the van behind it, a Mercedes-Benz van that was driven by Howard Elmer (54 YOA of Ontario, Canada). The semi trailer sustained minor damage. The vans both sustained major damage. One was towed from the scene the other was driven from the scene. Witt suffered minor injuries and was treated by EMS on scene. All occupants reported wearing seatbelts. The roadway was closed for approximately 1 hour until the trailer could be removed from the roadway. Wainwright. His next of kin has been notified of the incident. Text: On 1/29/2013 at 1449 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a reported crash in the parking lot at a business near mile 315 Richardson Highway. Investigation revealed Forrest Hermanns, age 20 of Tok, was driving a 3/4 ton GMC pickup with a large trailer loaded with logs for sale. Hermanns struck a US Army Humvee that was slowing and preparing to turn into the parking lot. Hermanns vehicle continued into the parking lot, striking a soldier exiting a parked Humvee and then two parked Styker armored vehicles. The soldier that was struck suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was evacuated to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for treatment. None of the vehicles involved suffered substantial damage. Hermanns was uninjured. There was no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor. Road conditions were extremely icy. AST investigation continues. Troopers from the Bureau of Highway Patrol, Northern Team, have assumed responsibility for the investigation. Blawat, age 29 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Blawat's Alaska driver's license was canceled by the Division of Motor Vehicles and he had a warrant for his arrest for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Avoidance of Interlock Device. Blawat was placed under arrest, transported to and remanded in MSPT with his bail set at $1,000.00. Investigation revealed Sharelle N. Eakins, age 30 of Wasilla was operating her 2002 silver Chevrolet Blazer with her two children in the vehicle north on KGB Road, lost control, slid into the south bound lane of travel and struck a 1992 white Ford tow truck driven by William Francis Noble, age 56 of Wasilla who was driving south bound. Eakins and her children were transported to the Mat-Su Regional Hospital with minor injuries. All occupants involved reported to be wearing their seatbelts. The 2002 Chevrolet Blazer was totaled. The 1992 Ford tow truck sustained minor damage. Eakins was issued a citation.
