B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: AK13007515 Type: Warrant Arrest X4, Hindering Prosecution 1st Degree Text: On 2/1/2013 at approximately 0450 hours, Alaska State Troopers arrived at a residence near Green Forest Drive, in Wasilla, and contacted Claude Hale, age 33 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed C. Hale had three outstanding AST arrests warrants for Failure to Comply with Conditions of Probation on the original charge of Manslaughter, Failure to Appear on the original charge of DWLR, and Violation of Conditions of Release original charge of Manslaughter. Troopers also contacted Brandon Hale, age 20 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed B. Hale had an AST arrest warrant Failure to Appear on the original charge of DWLR. Troopers contacted a third suspect at the residence identified as Danielle Michaud, age 32 of Wasilla. Further investigation revealed Michaud had hindered prosecution of C. Hale. Subsequently, C. Hale and B. Hale were arrested on the outstanding warrants and Michaud was arrested for Hindering Prosecution in the 1st Degree. All parties were remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial. C Hale's bail was set at $5,000, B. Hale's bail was set at $100, and Michaud's bail was set at $500. Investigation determined the passenger, Marlin J. Bostwick, 21, of Wasilla was in possession of a semi-automatic handgun after being convicted of a felony offense. Additionally, Bostwick was on felony probation for MICS 4th and was found to be in violation of her probation. Bostwick was taken into custody and transported to MSPT where she was held on $5000 bail plus CATP for the weapons offense and held without bail on the probation violation. Investigation determined that Michael Bayless, age 48 of Copper Center had seriously assaulted a household member and fled the scene. Bayless was located shortly thereafter and was arrested on two counts of Assault 3 DV. The victim was transported to Cross Road Medical Center by EMS. Investigation revealed Jeremy P. Fichtner, age 30 of Wasilla, had a suspended license status. Fichtner was issued a misdemeanor citation for DWLS and released from the scene. Investigation revealed Rustman had outstanding APD arrest warrant for Contempt of Court on the original charge of Sexual Assault of a Minor 2nd Degree. Further investigation revealed Rustman had provided troopers with a false identity, and was out of compliance with the sex offender registration with a previous conviction. Subsequently, Rustman was arrested on the outstanding warrant, False Information and Fail to Register as a Sex Offender. Rustman was remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial, and held without bail. Author: MDD1 Received Saturday, February 02, 2013 9:02 AM and posted Saturday, February 02, 2013 9:55 AM C Detachment Location: Chefornak Case number: AK13007640 Type: Search and Rescue Text: On 02/01/13, the Alaska State Troopers were notified that Jobe Abraham, 42, of Chefornak, was overdue from hunting trip near Dall Lake and Baird Inlet. Search teams from Chefornak, Kipnuk, and Newtok deployed to search the area and after a lengthy search the efforts were called for the day due to limited visibility. On 02/02/13 the search resumed with air assets from the Civil Air Patrol, the Alaska State Troopers, and local airline pilots, as well as ground search teams from Nightmute, Newtok, and Kipnuk. Jobe was located from the air after he contacted a plane by VHF a short distance from Chefornak. Jobe was picked up by a search team and transported back to Chefornak. Jobe was tired and cold, but was ok. The Alaska State Troopers would like to thank all the volunteers in this search effort. Cushman in Fairbanks. Theodore Lee Belton, 49 of Fairbanks, was subsequently arrested for DUI. He was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center and remanded. He is being held without bail. Investigation revealed that Tanna Fairbanks (27 YOA of Nenana) was intoxicated and stabbed a male in the leg with a knife after an altercation. Fairbanks was arrested and booked into the Fairbanks Correctional Center on the charge of Assault III where she was held without bail. Helo 1 was launched from Anchorage and located Middleton and took him to a safe place. Middleton didn't suffer any injuries during the incident. Leotis Frank James was the driver of the 1994 Ford Explorer. Investigation revealed James had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in court. James was arrested and remanded at Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver. An investigation was conducted and Proctor was arrested for DUI. Proctor was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center and remanded. The vehicle was released to a licensed sober driver. Anthony Scott Costa, age 19 of Fairbanks, was identified as the driver. Investigation revealed he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Failure to Report to Jail. He was arrested. At Fairbanks Correctional Center, he was found to have an amount of marijuana, a schedule VIA controlled substance, hidden on his person. He was additionally charged with Promoting Contraband 1st and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 6th. He was remanded and held with no bail pending arraignment.
