B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: AK13000533 Type: Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident; Assault in the Third Degree; Resisting Arrest Text: On 01/03/13 AST responded to a report of a Motor Vehicle Collision with Injuries on E. Quiet Circle in Wasilla, which resulted in a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. The suspect had departed the scene prior to AST's arrival. AST subsequently developed a suspect in the incident, Steven Meier age 39 of Palmer. On 02/04/13 Meier was contacted by AST at a residence in the Butte for a reported disturbance. Meier was informed he was under arrest for the incident that occurred on 01/03/13 and he resisted arrest by force. Meier was remanded into the MSPT facility in Palmer for the original charges of Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident, Assault in the Third Degree, and Resisting Arrest and held on $2,500 bail with a court approved third party condition. A female was contacted trying to sneak out the back of the residence. She was identified as Raquel Weaver, age 22 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Weaver had a $2,500 warrant for Failure to Comply with ASAP on the original charge of DUI. Weaver was arrested and remanded at Mat-Su Pre-Trial on $2,500 bail. Anthony "Tony" Poulsen, age 44 of Togiak had left Togiak at approximately 1230 hours on his snowmachine and was headed to the Goodnews Bay approximately 50 miles away. Poulsen was traveling alone and never arrived in Goodnews Bay. Two man HASTY teams were sent out from both Togiak and Goodnews Bay. Poulsen was located at approximately 2350 hours and was escorted back to Togiak in good condition. The skull was examined by AVCP Archeologist, Steven Street. Street believes the skull was from the previous century and was from one of the numerous prehistoric gravesites scattered around Ukumiute. The skull was returned to the Toksook Bay church priest for interment. Investigation revealed Axton was sport fishing without a 2013 sport fish license in possession at Kahli Cove. Axton was cited into Craig court with a bail amount of $210. Investigation revealed Bodine Rogers, age 42 of Klawok, lost control, crossed the center line, struck an embankment, and rolled his vehicle. Rogers and his passenger suffered only minor scrapes and bruises. The vehicle sustained extensive damage. Rogers failed to report the collision by the quickest means necessary to law enforcement. Rogers was issued a summons for fail to report, arraignment is set for February 26th in the Petersburg District Court. The conviction was the result of an Alaska Wildlife Trooper investigation that showed Gadd negligently left 16 commercial Dungeness pots in fishing condition after the close of the commercial season. Gadd was fined $3000 with $1500 suspended and placed on probation for one year.
