Investigation revealed that Harry John Napoka, 43, of Tuluksak assaulted his girlfriend while she slept. A highly intoxicated Napoka stumbled after the assault and hit his face on the wall. Napoka was transported to Bethel where he was treated for injuries he sustained during the fall. Napoka was sent to Anchorage for specialized treatment. A warrant was issued for Napoka's arrest after his release from medical care. The child was treated for minor injuries at the local clinic and released to relatives at the direction of the Office of Children Services. Guest boarded a plane, and left the village before the VPSO could speak with her. The Alaska State Troopers in Bethel obtained an Arrest Warrant for Guest, and located her attempting to board a plane back to Quinhagak with her other child. Troopers conducted a search of Guest's bags, and located alcohol that Guest intended to sell in the dry Village of Quinhagak upon her return. Guest was arrested. OCS assisted Troopers with Guest's child, and made arrangements for the child to be placed with relatives in Quinhagak. Guest was remanded to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center for Alcohol Importation and Assault in the Fourth Degree. Investigation the driver of the vehicle was Benjamin Wood Turnbull, 33 of Palmer. Turnbull was traveling south on the Seward Highway when he lost control of his vehicle and over turned in the ditch. Turnbull reported no injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene by ASAP Towing.
