B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Big Lake Case number: AK13010083 Type: Assault 4 x 3 counts; Reckless Endangerment; Interfering with the Report of a DV Crime Text: On 02/11/13 at approximately 1921 hours, AST responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a residence on W. Halston Ave. in Big Lake. AST contacted Samuel Ives, age 30 of Big Lake, during the investigation. Investigation revealed Ives recklessly caused physical injury to three family members and engaged in conduct that created a substantial risk of serious physical injury to a fourth family member during the incident. Ives also reportedly prevented a family member from calling 911 during the incident. Ives was arrested for the original charges of Assault in the Fourth Degree x3 counts, Reckless Endangerment, and Interfering with the report of a DV Crime. Ives was transported to the MSPT facility by AST where he was remanded into custody and held without bail. AST investigation disclosed Maxim was highly intoxicated and was subsequently arrest for driving under the influence. AST contacted the bus driver, Louis Mabry age 45 of Palmer, who reported EMS responded to the scene and none of the 10 children on the bus were injured during the crash. AST also contacted Mackenzie Jenkins, age 17 of Wasilla, who was driving a 1997 Ford pick up that was involved in the crash. Investigation revealed Jenkins rear ended the school bus while it had its overhead lights activated during a stop. Both vehicles received minor damage. Jenkins was issued a citation for failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision in a safety corridor. All parties reported wearing their seat belts. On 2/12/2013, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address on Vine Road in Wasilla following a tip that the snowmachine was on the property. Investigation revealed Michael Nichols age 46 of Wasilla, Lisa Carullo age 43 of Wasilla, Anthony Magee age 42 of Big Lake, and Jodi Magee age 39 of Wasilla were all in possession of the stolen snowmachine. All were arrested at the scene without incident and remanded to MSPT where bail was set at $5000 plus CATP for each subject. Upon arrival Alaska State Troopers contacted Brandon J. Mccoy, age 20, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that he had operated his 1990 Isuzu Trooper while intoxicated. Further investigation showed that Mccoy had assaulted a family member at the residence, causing minor injuries. McCoy was placed under arrest and remanded into the custody of Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held with no bail. While on scene, Troopers contacted Michael Ackerman, age 36 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Ackerman had an outstanding felony warrant for failure to comply with conditions of probation on the original charge of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance. Michael Hoffman, age 31 of Anchorage, was also contacted. Investigation revealed Hoffman gave false information about his identity and had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for failure to comply with conditions of probation on the original charge of Theft II. Rachel Wulf, age 25 of Anchorage, was also contacted and investigation revealed Wulf hindered prosecution by lying about Hoffman's identity. Ackerman was arrested on the warrant, Hoffman was arrested on the warrant and for False Information, and Wulf was arrested for Hindering Prosecution I. Ackerman, Hoffman, and Wulf were all transported and remanded to MSPT. Investigation revealed the driver, 22-year-old Nicholas Latocha of Wasilla, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Failure to Remand on the original charge of DUI. Further investigation revealed Latocha had a Revoked license and had given false information about his identity when initially contacted by AST. Latocha was arrested and transported to MSPT to serve three days on the warrant, as well as an additional $1500 bail. Investigation revealed that Karl had suffered from several different health issues and subsequently passed away. After the investigation, there was no suspicion of foul play and the State Medical Examiner released Karl's body to Wikstrom. Buck, age 33, of Kodiak, at a trailer in Jackson's Trailer Park. Buck was wanted on a $5,000 arrest warrant for Failure to Comply with Conditions of Probation. Troopers responded to the trailer described by the anonymous caller where Buck was observed at the front door. When Troopers approached Buck retreated inside. Buck was found hiding in a cupboard inside the trailer and taken into custody without further incident. Buck was remanded to the Kodiak City Jail. A State Trooper responded on 2/12/13 and investigated. Subsequent investigation revealed that after consuming alcohol Macar twice assaulted an adult female relative and then later went to a residence where she was hiding, kicked his way into the residence, and then assaulted an adult male relative and the homeowner of the residence after refusing to leave. Damage to the door was between $300 and $400. In addition, Macar repeatedly called the residence and made threats to the occupants after the break-in. Macar is on probation for a previous charge of Driving Under the Influence, with conditions that include not to possess or consume alcoholic beverages. Macar was arrested on a charge of Burglary 1, Assault 4-DV (3) counts, Criminal Mischief 4-DV, Criminal Trespass 1-DV, Probation Violation, and Harassment 2. Macar was transported to Aniak pending arraignment on 2-13-13. Osborne was found to have methamphetamine and approximately $8,000 in cash in his pockets. He was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the third degree and taken to FCC, where he was held without bail. On 2/11/13 at about 0930 hours, AST contacted Alicia M. Dexter, 20. Inside her residence was $12,000 in cash, four ounces of methamphetamine, and three firearms, one of which had been reported as stolen. Dexter was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the third degree and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the second degree and taken to FCC, where she was held without bail. Osborne, who also lives at the residence, was also charged with an additional count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the third degree and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the second degree.
