Investigation revealed that Dominic ANDREWS, age 21 of North Pole threw his wife's cell phone against the wall during a verbal argument and broke it. Then ANDREWS entered a vehicle that was being occupied by the victim, he grabbed her by the hair and attempted to drag her from the vehicle. The victim was able to lock herself inside the vehicle until Alaska State Troopers arrived. ANDREWS was arrested and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was remanded on the charges of Assault IV and Criminal Mischief IV, both involving domestic violence. ANDREWS is being held without bail. The vehicle owner reported that sometime between 2100 hours on 02/10/13 and 0100 hours on 02/11/13, unknown person(s) entered her unsecured and unattended vehicle and stole a purse containing various items including an white Apple iPod worth $200, a hand held GPS unit worth $300, and $200 in cash. Author: TWL0 Received Tuesday, February 19, 2013 10:19 AM and posted Tuesday, February 19, 2013 10:29 AM ----------------------------------------- Location: Seldovia Case Number: AK13011767 Type: SAR - Overdue boater Text: At 2014 hours on February 18, 2013, a woman contacted the Alaska State Troopers to report that Kelly Brennan, 54 of Seldovia, had beached his 12-foot skiff at about 1630 after the motor had stopped working near Dangerous Cape between Seldovia and Port Graham. Brennan initially had cell phone contact with the woman and advised he had gotten wet while coming ashore and wasn't dressed for the overnight weather. The woman contacted AST and the U.S. Coast Guard after she had not heard from Brennan since approximately 1900 hours. An HH-60 helicopter responded to the area and located Brennan at 2345 hours just off the beach in the tree line east of Point Pogibshi. Brennan was transported to South Peninsula Hospital for treatment of mild hypothermia and low-grade frostbite in his foot. Brennan is expected to fully recover from his injuries. Investigation revealed Ilya Gherman, 53, of Anchor Point prevented two females from leaving the residence by threatening to shoot them if they tried. Gherman was armed with a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol and an AK-47 Assault Rifle. During the incident, Gherman fired approximately eight rounds from the weapons into the floor and wall near the females. The females fled the residence without any shoes after Gherman fell asleep. Troopers subsequently contacted Gherman and arrested him for Kidnapping x2, Assault III x2, and Misconduct Involving Weapons II. He was remanded to the Homer Jail. Investigation revealed Jason Michael Jensen, age 24 of Wasilla ran out of gas and was attempting to pour gas into his vehicle while intoxicated.
