The complainant reported that at some point between 5/3/13 and 5/4/13, an unknown individual had entered the residence and stole a bottle of prescription narcotics valued at $100. Investigation revealed that Elizabeth Peterson, age 27 of Wasilla was operating a black 2008 Nissan Titan eastbound on Big Lake Road. Peterson crossed into the oncoming lane of travel and collided with a white 1989 Acura Integra being driven by James Cantine, age 49 of Big Lake. Both vehicles were totaled and had to be towed from the scene. All parties reported wearing seat belts and no injuries were initially reported. Ladd was contacted as the driver of a green 1993 Subaru on the Parks Hwy. near Lucille Street in Wasilla after a traffic stop for equipment violations. Investigation determined Ladd was driving on a revoked driver's license and had just been released from jail with conditions of release that prohibited him from driving until properly licensed. Ladd was taken into custody and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial facility where he was held on $1500 bail with a court approved third party custodian requirement. Ladd's vehicle was released to a licensed passenger. The first warrant was for Counterfeiting and a Felon in possession of a firearm, bail to be set. Kevin P. Bailey (30 yoa of North Pole) was arrested for Assault 3, and Assault 4 for causing minor injuries to child, and to a woman inside a residence during domestic disturbance. AST and BHP troopers responded to the scene and further investigation revealed Delores Harris, age 56 of Kasilof, had physically assaulted a 57-year-old resident of Soldotna. When the 57-year old attempted to call police to report the assault, Harris ripped the phone cord out of the wall. Harris was subsequently arrested, transported to Wildwood Pre Trial and remanded on the charges of DV Assault in the 4th degree and Interfere with a report of DV. Harris was held without bail pending arraignment. Alcohol was a factor in the assault. The complainant reported, Darren Magee (of Kasilof and 43yo), was outside the door and trying to get in. The complainant said Darren had hit her. Loud screaming was heard before the call was disconnected. Troopers responded to the lodge and, upon entry, observed Darren sitting on a bed and near a large kitchen knife within arm's reach on a coffee table. Darren stood up, grabbed the knife, and was holding in the Troopers' direction. Darren was ordered to put the knife multiple times before he complied. Darren was immediately detained and, subsequent to the investigation, placed under arrest and charged with Assault in the Fourth Degree (Domestic Violence), Interfering with a Domestic Violence Report, and Disorderly Conduct. Author: JCB2 Received Saturday, May 04, 2013 1:04 PM and posted Saturday, May 04, 2013 1:03 PM AK Bureau of Investigation Location: Fairbanks Case number: 12-12415 Type: Sentencing - Forgery Case Text: On April 26th, the Department of Law announced that 40-year-old Deborah Carroll, a resident of Fairbanks, Alaska, was sentenced for one count of forgery in the second degree following an investigation by the Alaska State Troopers, Alaska Bureau of Investigation, Financial Crimes Unit. Ms. Carroll was hired by an independent contractor to collect signatures for an initiative petition for the Alaska Sea Party's Establishment of an Alaska Coastal Management Program. In Ms. Carroll's case, the independent contractor recognized some inconsistencies with the signatures Ms. Carroll collected. One of the sponsors of the initiative, Bruce Botelho, reported the inconsistencies to authorities. The investigation resulted in Ms. Carroll being charged with multiple counts, including forgery in the second degree, falsifying business records, unsworn falsification in the second degree, perjury, and improper subscription to petition. Ms. Carroll pled guilty to one count of forgery in the second degree, a class C felony. The remaining charges were dismissed. On April 25, 2013, Fairbanks Superior Court Judge Michael McConahy sentenced Ms. Carroll to serve four years in jail with two years suspended (two years to serve). She was placed on supervised felony probation for a period of three years following her jail service with conditions of probation. Ms. Carroll was also on felony probation for a previous felony theft at the time of the sentencing. With the assistance of AST K-9 Chevron, investigation revealed the driver, Karissa Zimin, age 37 of Wasilla, possessed user's amounts of crystal methamphetamine and marijuana in her vehicle while transporting two children under the age of 6 years. The driver was identified as David M. Donajkowski, age 35, of Wasilla. An investigation revealed Donajkowski was operating the ATV while impaired by alcohol and he was placed under arrest for DUI.
