Investigation revealed Darrell Charles, age 47 of Wasilla, refused to leave the residence of a family member and attempted to forcefully gain entry. Investigation revealed Jeffery S. Carlson Jr., age 21 of Wasilla, stole over $500.00 worth of property from a residence near Roca Road, Wasilla. Further investigation revealed Carlson Jr. was on felony probation. Carlson Jr. was arrested for Theft II remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held on a $2500.00 bail and a probation violation. Needham initially reported his taking of a spike/f ork bull moose on 9/28/12 in the Gustavus area, but failed to retain the an tlers of the bull moose so that they could be verified as legal by ADF&G or the Wildlife Troopers. Needham will be arraigned in the Hoonah court on 5 /15/13. Author: AMS9 Location: Hoonah =09 Case Number: 12-35579 Type: False statements on sport fishing/hunting licenses and Unsworn Falsif ication on CFEC permits Text: On 5/13/13, 58 yo Minnesota resident, Gordon Wrobel, was served a su mmons charging him with four counts of making false statements on his Alask a hunting/fishing licenses, and two counts of Unsworn Falsification on his Alaska CFEC permits. Wrobel is the owner of the Cove Lodge in Elfin Cove t hat in the summer of 2010 burned down. Wrobel has claimed to live in Elfin cove at his lodge since 2000, and this is where many of the licenses were sold to himself under Alaska's residency benefits. Wrobel's initial arraignment is set for May 28th, in the Juneau court. AK Bureau of Highway Patrol --------------------------------------------------------- Location: Talkeetna Case number: AK13032011 Type: Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash Text: On 5/13/13, at approximately 2345 hours, Trooper Dispatch received a report of a motor vehicle crash near mile 104 of the Parks Highway involving a tractor trailer rig and a pickup truck. Troopers from Talkeetna Post, Palmer Post, South Central Bureau of Highway Patrol Team, and a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer responded to the scene. An investigation showed that David Roach (60 of Trapper Creek) had been traveling north bound on the Parks Highway in his Toyota pickup when he crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic. Donald Braun (71 of Anchorage) was driving a Peterbuilt tractor trailer rig pulling double flatbed trailers south bound on the Parks Highway. Braun attempted to stop his tractor trailer but was unable to stop and the vehicles collided head on. Roach was killed on impact and Braun sustained non-life threatening injuries. Braun was transported by LifeMed to Providence Hospital in Anchorage for treatment. Seat belts were worn by both drivers and alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing. The driver, Garret Lloyd Griner, age 22 of Anchorage, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Griner was issued an AUC to later appear in court for driving with a suspended driver's license then released on scene.
