A Detachment Location: Juneau Case Number: 09-44815 Type: Reckless Driving Text: On 5-31-09, at 0115, a 17 year old Juneau male was issued a summons for Reckless Driving after he was stopped for traveling 96 mph in a 55 mph zone on Egan Drive. He was given a court date of 6-11-09, at 1315, in the Juneau District court. A 16 year female was also in the vehicle. Investigation revealed someone had entered a residence between the hours of 0900 hours and midnight on 5/30/2009 and took approximately $2,500.00 in household goods and prescription medication. Troopers contacted 26 year old Lowell Oposcolo of Seattle, WA. Investigation revealed Oposcolo had an outstanding no-bail warrant for failure to appear stemming from a DUI arrest from 2005 in Ketchikan. Oposcolo was arrested without incident and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was remanded. The driver was identified as Wendy Haroldsen (15 YOA of Anchorage). Investigation revealed that Haroldsen was driving without a valid operator's license. Jenks driver's license was revoked for Driving Under the Influence. K. Jenks was issued a summons to appear in court and a citation for Failure to Show Proof of Insurance. K. Investigation revealed Audrianna Krenzelak, age 17, of Wasilla, was driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan southbound on Knik Goose Bay Rd. Travis Huggett, age 27, of Wasilla, was driving a 2009 Nissan SUV and was stopped in a parking lot waiting to turn left onto Knik Goose Bay Rd. Huggett observed a large truck slowing down in the southbound lane of Knik Goose Bay Rd. which began to turn into the parking lot he was in. Huggett did not observe Krenzelak's van which was behind the truck. Huggett entered the roadway causing a collision with Krenzelak's van. All occupants reported wearing their seatbelts. Two occupants reported minor injuries and declined to be transported to the hospital. Both vehicles sustained an estimated $10,000.00 in damage. Investigation revealed that sometime between 0000 and 0930 hours on 5-31-09 a number of windows and a glass door were broken. There was not anything stolen from the business. After additional reports of vandalism and AST canvassing the area, it was found that two other businesses and six vehicles had broken windows in the area of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway, Fattic Drive, and Seward Meridian Parkway outside Wasilla. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and after a short foot pursuit the driver was apprehended. The driver was identified as Martin Chambers, age 19, of Palmer. Investigation revealed that Chambers was driving under the influence of alcohol and was found in possession of firearms. Chambers was arrested for DUI, MOCA, MCA, and MIW IV. Chambers was also issued a citation for refusing PBT and for speeding. Chambers was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where he is being held on a bail of $5000.00. Investigation determined Kathleen Coslow age 41 of Wasilla, traveled west bound on Bogard Road in her blue and white 1990 Chevrolet Caprice when she crossed the double yellow center line. Coslow collided head-on with a red 2006 Chevrolet Trail Blazer operated by James F. Libby age 63 of Wasilla. Life-Med responded and transported Coslow to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage via helicopter. Mat-Su EMS responded and transported Libby to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Both individuals were in critical condition. Both vehicles were totaled at an estimated damage of $15000. The investigation is ongoing.
