The subsequent investigation revealed Tyron Walker, 35, of Kodiak assaulted the 33 year old female and intentionally da maged a lap top computer valued at approximately $400.00. AST responded to the area and found a 14-year-old male resident of Kodiak firing a .17 caliber rifle across the road. Further investigation revealed the 14-year old was doing so at the direction of 54-year-old Kodiak resident John Burnett. Alaska Statute 11.61.210(a)(2) prohibits a person from discharging a firearm from, on, or across a highway. No arrest was made at the scene. However, the 14-year-old male was charged with Misconduct Involving a Weapon 4th Degree through the Office of Juvenile Justice. And Burnett was charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor through the Kodiak District Attorney's Office. The rifle in question, valued at $500.00, was seized and secured as evidence. AST responded and the investigation revealed that Lorraine A Peter, age 30, of Tuluksak had been driving a 2002 Chevrolet S10 pickup; with a passenger, Helen Lott, age 53, of Tuluksak from the new airport apron towards the village, lost control and drove off the roadside, rolling 1.5 times. The women were uninjured, however while walking to the village, Peter attacked Lott; kicking Lott in the face several times, causing black eyes and bruising. Peter admitted operating the truck, assaulting Lott, consuming alcohol. Peter was in possession of marijuana (less than 1 gram). Peter was taken into custody and during Datamaster she failed to give a sample, resulting in a refusal. Peter was charged with DUI, Assault IV, Refusal and MICS VI. A search warrant was obtained and Peter's blood was drawn for analysis. Peter is on misdemeanor probation with no alcohol condit ions. The vehicle was traveling westbound toward Teller when the driver lost con trol and rolled into the ditch coming to rest upside down. Two male occupan ts were inside the vehicle at the time and were picked up by a passing vehi cle and transported to Teller. The vehicle was identified as a black Chevr olet Trailblazer owned by Henry Jack, 71 of Anchorage. Jack was identifi ed as the passenger in the vehicle and was transported to the hospital in N ome for treatment of minor injuries and later released. The driver of the v ehicle has not been identified at this time. Alcohol is believed to be a fa ctor in the accident. The incident is currently under investigation. Investigation shows Charles Alvanna, 19 of Nome, was operating a Honda 4-wheeler while in toxicated. Alvanna was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost cont rol of the vehicle, ejecting him and his passenger, Clyde Iyatunguk Jr., 21 of Nome, into the ditch. Iyatunguk sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the Nome hospital for treatment.
