Frederick Campbell, 28 of Fairbanks, was driving a white Chevrolet Blazer and collided with the building. When contacted, Campbell was passed out. Investigation revealed Campbell was intoxicated. Campbell was arrested and transported to the Trooper post. Campbell refused to provide a breath sample. Campbell was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was remanded on one count of DUI, and one count of Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Investigation resulted in the interview of the addressed recipient, a resident of Chevak, Alaska. A search of the parcel revealed 14-750ML bottles of distilled spirits which had been wrapped in bubble wrap and 'burped'. No other items were found in the parcel. An investigation led to the arrest o f Wade Gillespie, age 50 of Houston, for operating a vehicle under the infl uence of alcohol. Gillespie was found to have 2 prior DUI convictions maki ng this a felony. An investigation also showed that Gillespie assaulted a family member and possessed marijuana. Gillespie was remanded into Mat-Su Pretrial where bail was set at $5000 and court approved third party. Officers contacted Yancee McDaniel, age 25 of Wasil la. McDaniel was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun, while he w as impaired by alcohol and he failed to announce this to the officers.
