Investigation revealed Crystle S. Lew is, age 16 of Wasilla, was traveling westbound on Bogard Road in her 1990 Subaru Legacy when a wind gust caused her to lose control of the vehicle. Lewis reported over correcting her steering of the vehicle and the vehi cle subsequently rolling onto its side in the opposite lane of travel off o f the roadway. Further investigation revealed Eggemeyer had been consuming alcohol in violation to her conditions of release for a pending DUI charge. Eggemeyer was subsequently arrested and transported to Kodiak Police Department Jail, where she was remanded with no bail set. On 09/12/2012, AST responded and investigation revealed that Jerry Pippen JR, age 49 of Pedro Bay, was driving a vehicle owned by Rainbow Bay Resort when he looked down, taking his eyes off the road, and ran off the road, causing the vehicle to roll down a steep embankment approximately 50-100 feet resulting in substantial damage to the vehicle and minor injuries to Jerry Pippen. High winds prevented immediate response. However, on 09/17/2012 AST arrived on scene. Initial investigation revealed that the decedent was Trefim Wassillie JR, age 25 of Kokhanok. Author: JRM2 Received Wednesday, September 19, 2012 11:19 AM and posted Wednesday, September 19, 2012 11:53 AM ---------------------------------------------------------- Location: Kiana Case number: AK12236676 Type: Attempted murder / Theft Text: On 9/19/12 at 0336 hours Alaska State Troopers in Kotzebue were notified that two adult males who had been floating down the Squirrel River had stopped at a cabin, on the evening of 9/18/12, about 40 miles upriver from the community of Kiana. When the hunters stopped, they found another male already staying in the cabin, an altercation occurred and the two hunters were both shot. The unknown suspect then stole the victims' inflatable boat and hunting equipment and began floating down river. Alaska State Troopers responded this morning at daylight and transported both victims, who were suffering from gunshots, to Kiana where a waiting medevac flight took over care. One individual has transported to a hospital in Kotzebue. The other is being transported to a hospital in Anchorage. Information on the victims is not being released at this time. Troopers are currently at the cabin where the incident occurred and in the community of Kiana, awaiting further resources before beginning a search of the approximately 40 miles of terrain, in an attempt to locate and arrest the suspect. Lane Hardage was identified as the driver of the vehicle. Investigation revealed Hardage did not have a drivers' license in the state of Alaska or any other state. Hardage did not have any proof of insurance in the vehicle and did not know if there was any insurance on the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded by Fairbanks I Tow.
