Investigation revealed that Kenneth Swaim, age 19, of Ketchikan assaulted an individual when he attempted to gain access into a resi dence. Swaim also refused to leave the residence when told. Inve stigation revealed that the driver Ashley Hudson, age 19 of Washington, w as operating a 1995 Ford Taurus on D-1 Loop road when she lost control of the vehicle while rounding a sharp corner. The vehicle collided with a boulder then came to rest in the ditch. Hudson and a passenger were tr ansported by North Tongass Volunteer Fire Department EMS to Peace Health Ketchikan Medical Center and later released with minor injuries. Inve stigation revealed Randall Gordanier, age 37 of Anchorage was operating his 2012 Peterbilt truck southbound on the Glenn Highway when a moose entered the roadway and was subsequently struck. The truck sustained major damage a nd was towed from the scene. The moose died on impact and AMF responded to take possession of the remains. Original Text: On 04/28/10 at approximately 1135 hours, Alaska State Troope rs in Talkeetna responded to a remote area near Skwentna, Alaska (known as Fish Lakes Creek) for a re port stating that multiple cabins in the area were burglarized and a person had been seen fleeing from a second story window of one of the cabins. Troopers responded to the scene via Helo 1, the Al aska State Trooper helicopter and began investigating the reported burglaries. The investigation revea led that several cabin sites near Northwoods Lodge, along Fish Lakes Creek, were forcefully entered and misce llaneous items including guns, ammunition and ATV were stolen. Significant damage to several cabins and residences was discovered. Wind ows were pried open, doors were kicked in and the interior of some dwellings were ransacked. Troope rs discovered furniture flipped over and piled in the middle of some rooms, and furniture and other items were stood on end in front of windows and doors as though the occupants were attempting to barricade them selves inside. Residents in the area reported hearing a large amount of gun shots fired at all hours of the day and night for the previous ten days. Further Investigation revealed Benjamin Cross and Jeffrey Indellicaiti used a flying Service at Lake Hood in Anchorage to fly out to a cabin in the Fish lakes Area to live for a month because they were looking for "an Alaskan Vacation". On 04/30/10, Troopers flew back to the area using Alaska Wildlife Trooper a ircraft. Troopers hiked and canoed into the area where the individuals were believed to be holding up a t a remote cabin. Troopers made verbal contact with the two occupants of the cabin at which time a 45 minute standoff ensued. The two men, later identified as Jeffrey Indellicaiti and Benjamin Cross, e ventually agreed to exit the residence unarmed. Once in custody Indellicati and Cross were found to b e in possession of a large amount of stolen property including 22 guns which belonged to cabin owners along Lake Creek, Bulchitna Lake and Fish Lakes Creek. Damage to cabins and property invol ved is estimated at approximately $25,000. AST in vestigation revealed a 1994 Jeep Cherokee collided with a 2010 Toyota Camry in front of the Alaska Airline Terminal. The Cherokee was stopped and the driver believed the vehicle's transmission was engaged in park but was not. The Cherokee driver exited and the Cherokee slipped into reverse and rolle d into the Camry which was unloading a passenger. Troopers responded an d investigation revealed that Colten Zaukar age 22 of Sleetmute, broke into a Sleetmute resident's dwelling by means of an axe. Zaukar physically ass aulted the female and then proceeded to drag the female to a trail that led to the nearby Kuskokwim River where he sexually assaulted her. The victim was transported to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries. S tate Troopers and a Deputy US Marshal responded to Sleetmute, but a family member warned Zaukar of their arrival and transported him to a wooded mount ainous region on the far side of town. Troopers observed the vehicle described in the incident and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle eastbound Mitchell Expressway near the Airport Way East exit. Troopers contacted the driver, identified as Philip Wallis, age 41 of Fairbanks. Troopers requested that Wallis exit the vehicle. Wallis proceeded to flee the contact, traveling over 120mph on Airport Way, running red lights and swerving into on coming traffic, causing other motorists to take evasive action to avoid a collision. After pursuing the vehicle for approximately 3 miles, Wallis fled the vehicle on foot in the area of Thomas Street and Wildflower Ave. After a pursuit on foot, Troopers detained Wallis and placed him under arrest for Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer 1st Degree, Parole Violation, and Driving while Revoked. A suspect, later identified as Edward Arnold Gullion, J r, age 23, of Fairbanks, initiated a private chat conversation with an unde rcover Alaska State Trooper who he thought was a juvenile female under the age of 16 years. During several ensuing chats, Gullion distributed indecen t material multiple times and on 9/26/12 he requested to meet the "child" f or sex. On 9/26/12, at approximately 1800 hours, Investigators with the Alaska Bure au of Investigation made contact with Gullion at his place of residence in Fairbanks and arrested him on charges of Electronic Distribution of Indecen t Material to a Minor. Incident to the investigation, a search of the parcels resulted in the seizure of approximately 4 ounces of marijuana which had been secreted in groceries along with numerous baggies suggesting distribution.
