B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: AK12243635 Type: DWLS Text: On 10/18/12 at approximately 0315 hours Alaska State Troopers contacted Christopher Cook, age 19, of Wasilla, in his 2000 Chevrolet Pickup near the intersection of the Parks Hwy. and Vine Rd. Investigation determined Cook was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Cook was issued a misdemeanor citation to appear in court and released from the scene. A licensed passenger took possession of Cook's vehicle at his request. The vehicle failed to yield, drove recklessly, and travelled in excess of 95 mph. The vehicle turned onto Old Matanuska Road and nearly struck a Trooper head on in a marked patrol vehicle as he was preparing to deploy stinger spike strips; the vehicle swerved at the last second avoiding a collision. The pursuit continued onto Creekside Drive and then down a power line trail where the vehicle got stuck in the mud. The driver and sole occupant exited the vehicle and started to run. The suspect was taken into custody and was identified by his name and DOB as Harley Ron Debeaulieau, age 29 of Wasilla. Debeaulieau was arrested for Assault 3 on a LEO, Eluding 1, Felony DUI, Reckless Driving, DWLR and Probation Violation. Further investigation revealed that Debeaulieau was on Palmer Probation for Felony DUI. Palmer Probations was notified of the incident. The suspect's vehicle was impounded. No injuries and no damage was reported during the incident. Howard and Jackson were located during the evening of 10-17-12, but rescuers were unable to get to them do to the river icing up. A helicopter was dispatched on 10-18-12 to pick up Howard and Jackson. They were brought to Kwethluk and did not require any medical treatment. Investigation revealed Anna R. Enzweiler, age 27, of Fairbanks was operating a Blue, 2001 BMW X3 southbound on the Parks Hwy. While negotiating a corner Enzweiler lost control of the vehicle and collided with a gardrail. Enzweiler's vehicle damage was estimated at $2,000.00. Investigation revealed that Douglas Brown, age 50 of North Pole, was traveling on the Escape route towards Nikiski when he slid through the stop sign at Holt Lamplight Rd. and collided with a vehicle being driven by Jason Taurianen, age 40 of Nikiski. Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts and sustaining no injuries. Investigation also revealed Brown's driver's license was revoked. Investigation revealed Victor Sifsof Jr., age 30 of Anchorage, was driving an atv with Victrina Sifsof, age 49 of Anchorage, as a passenger on a bike path. A vehicle driven by Andrew Dupree, age 18 of Anchorage, pulled into a driveway. The ATV ran into the side of Dupree's vehicle. Victor and Victrina were transported to an Anchorage area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The ATV riders were not wearing helmets. Dupree and his passenger were not injured. Damage to the ATV was estimated at $3000.00 and damage to the other vehicle was estimated at $1000.00. Subsequent investigation revealed 6- 750 ml bottles of distilled spirits from within the box. The box was addressed to a minor. The citizens of Newtok voted to ban the sale and importation of alcoholic beverages which became effective on 12/01/1984. Investigation continues. Incident to contact, 48- 12 oz cans of malt beverages and 3- 750 ml bottles of distilled spirits were seized from his luggage. McCarr is being charged with Alcohol Importation. The man was observed consuming alcohol with a female companion. 1-750 ml bottle of distilled spirit was seized. The man is on misdemeanor probation and has violated one of his conditions, which is not to possess or consume alcohol. Investigation revealed that Caley Gibbons, age 34, of Anchorage, coordinated with HMCC inmate Rebecca Pendleton, age 34, of Anchorage, to bring contraband into the correctional facility. On 10/17/12, investigators contacted Gibbons and arrested him for Promoting Contraband 1st, Promoting Contraband 2nd, MICS 2nd, MICS 4th, Criminal Trespass 1st, and Violating Conditions of Release (VCOR). Gibbons was remanded to the Anchorage Jail, where he was held in lieu of $10,000, plus CATP. Pendleton, who was released from custody prior to the completion of the investigation, is now wanted for and outstanding arrest warrant with regards to her involvement with this case as she has been charged with Promoting Contraband 1st, Attempted MICS 4th and VCOR. During the search of the residence 50 marijuana plants, approximately 5 pounds of processed marijuana, approximately 10g of processed hashish, items associated with processing hashish and items associated with distribution and sales were located. A suspect has been identified and four charges of MICS IV and one charge of MICS III will forwarded to the Ketchikan District Attorney's Office for review. Investigation revealed John William Wysong, age 38 of Wasilla was operating his 2003 Honda XR400R motorcycle south on Pond Lilly Street when a calf moose ran into the roadway colliding with Wysong. Knik River Bridge. Investigation revealed that Pamela Harrington, age 48, of Palmer was northbound in the bridge, driving a 1991 Suzuki SUV. Carol Henning, age 57 of Wasilla was southbound in a 2002 GMC Yukon. Harrington lost control and bounced off of the guardrails, sliding sideways. Henning was unable to stop and her vehicle struck Harrington's on the right side. Harrington was extricated by EMS and transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. Henning was uninjured, and both reported to wearing their seatbelts. Damage to both vehicles exceeded $10,000.00.
