Investigation determined that the deceased was, Woodrow Morrison, Sr. (2-3-13), who was found un-responsive in his bed. SME was contacted and Morrison's body was released to the family. Next of kin was on scene, and no foul play is suspected. Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Tarie Lacher, 49, of Wasilla at a residence near Jessica Brooke St near Wasilla. Lacher was arrested after investigation determined she had assaulted a 17 yoa family member. Lacher was remanded to Palmer Matsu Pretrial and held with no bail. Investigation revealed one of the vehicle passengers, David S. Melland, age 18 of Wasilla, had been illegally consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 years old. Investigation revealed that Hunter Beling, age 18 of Wasilla, had been operating a red & white 1988 Dodge pickup while intoxicated before going into the ditch, near mile 9.1 Palmer Fishhook Road. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Paul R. Fine, age 19 of Wasilla. Fine was checked on scene for injuries and released by EMS. Beling was arrested and remanded to MSPT on the following charges: Assault III, DUI, Attempted Tampering with Evidence, Failure to Give Immediate Notice of an Accident, MOCA & MCA. Beling was also issued a citation for Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance. Author: RRL1 Received Thursday, October 29, 2009 11:29 AM and posted Thursday, October 29, 2009 11:51 AM C Detachment Location: New Stuyahok Case Number: 09-96918 Type: Assault IV/Criminal Trespass I/Felony Probation Violation Text: On 10/27/09, approximately 1830 hrs., the VPSO and VPO's in New Stuyahok responded to a report of criminal trespass at a residence in New Stuyahok. Investigation revealed that Wassillie Chocknok, age 39, of New Stuyahok had been drinking alcohol at the residence of Sonny Petla, age 31, of New Stuyahok. Petla repeatedly asked Chocknok to leave the residence, but Chocknok refused. A records check revealed that Chocknok was on Felony Probation. After contacting his probation officer, it was determined that Chocknok was in violation of several of his conditions of probation, and Chocknok was arrested on the violation. During the arrest, Chocknok assaulted a VPO. Chocknok was arrested and transported to the Dillingham Correctional Facility where he was lodged into jail on the violation, one count of Assault IV on a Police Officer and one count of Criminal Trespass I, pending arraignment. AST investigation determined Charles Liles 73, of Anchorage was southbound near mile 226 driving a 2001 Peterbilt semi tractor pulling an empty end dump trailer. Liles attempted to slow down for a State of Alaska DOT snowplow that was northbound approaching a narrow bridge. Liles applied the brakes which locked up the trailer brakes causing the back of the trailer to slide off the shoulder of the icy road. The tandem axle trailer caught the guard rail as the truck continued southbound. The truck was eventually stopped after flattening 150 feet of guardrail, supports, and two cement bridge posts. Damage to the trailer was estimated at $5000.00. Property damage to the guardrail and posts was estimated at $15,000.00. The two vehicles never collided on the narrow bridge and no injuries were reported. Richard S. Allaire of Delta Jct. and Johnny Beasley of Anchorage were both heading southbound on the Richardson Hwy. Allaire signaled and was making a right hand turn when Beasley who was traveling behind Allaire, saw that the truck was turning was unable to stop. Beasley attempted to avoid colliding with Allaire and went off the roadway. Beasley's vehicle, a 2003 Ford Pickup, went in front of Allaire's truck and was hit on the driver's side backend causing approximately $5000.00 in damage. Allaire's 1991 Ford F250, sustained approximately $3000.00 damage to the front end. No injuries were reported at the scene. Both drivers and passenger were wearing proper restraints. Investigation revealed that Mark S. McCullough, age 56 of Tok, was driving under the influence of alcohol and lost control of his 1990 Ford Ranger. The vehicle left the road and overturned. McCullough was not wearing seat belt and was partially ejected and pinned under the vehicle. Tok EMS extricated McCullough and transported him to the Tok Clinic where he was treated and listed in stable condition. McCullough is charged with driving under the influence and several equipment violations. Investigation revealed that Erickson Sanford Sr., age 41 of Mentasta Lake, damaged property and assaulted a family member. Investigation revealed Erin Mcaulay, 21 of Fairbanks, was traveling north on Chena Pump in her 2005 Hyundai. Mcaulay was traveling to fast for weather conditions, lost control of her vehicle, and drove into the ditch. Mcaulay was wearing seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Mcaulay was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital by EMS. The subsequent investigation revealed Robert Hill, age 33 of North Pole, was operating a 2001 Chevrolet pickup when he lost control and collided with a 1997 Hyundai operated by Susana Salazar, age 38 of Fairbanks. Hill immediately departed the scene, without providing contact information to Salazar, attempting to drive to his residence in North Pole. Troopers contacted Hill at approximately mile 354 of the Richardson Hwy where further investigation revealed Hill was driving under the influence of alcohol. Hill was arrested and transported to FCC for remand pending arraignment. Hill is charged with one count of leaving the Scene of an Accident and one count of Driving Under the Influence of alcohol. Dunton was out shooting on 10-25-09 in Healy, AK and haphazardly shot himself in the finger. Dunton stated he delayed immediate medical attention at the time of the incident but later decided to have his finger medically evaluated. Investigation revealed Fulkerson falsified his 2009 Sport fish license stated that he had been in Alaska for 12 consecutive months. Fulkerson was issued a citation with a bail amount of $310.00. Investigation revealed Eric Hemphill, age 17 of North Pole, was driving a blue 1998 Chevrolet car north when he attempted to stop for a school bus that was stopped with its red lights on. That bus was driven by Kelly Nowicki, age 47 of North Pole. Hemphill lost control of his car on icy roads, spun, and skidded into the front of the bus. The bus was carrying 35 children. None were injured. Hemphill was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. Hemphill's car was a total loss. The bus sustained minor damage. Alcohol was not a factor.
