Subsequent investigation revealed that Arnold Natkong, 45 years old of Hydaburg, and Daniel Natkong, 59 years old of Hydaburg, had been involved in an altercation. Alcohol was reported to be a factor. Charges of Assault in the Forth Degree will be forwarded to the Ketchikan District Attorney's Office for review. Lawrence Jackson, 27 yoa of Kake, was contacted at the scene and found to have sustained minor injuries. Jackson was transported to the Kake clinic by the VPSO and released. The party was in a 22-foot fiberglass boat that is currently anchored in Oliver Inlet within a mile of Seymour Canal Cabin. The USCG sent a vessel from Sector Juneau and a helicopter from Air Station Sitka. The USCG was unsuccessful in locating the party until the party contacted USCG Sector Juneau at 1725 hours to report they were not in distress and would return to Juneau on 11/13/12. Troopers and Central Matsu FD responded to the church and it was determined that there was not a fire. Investigation determined an unknown person broke into the church and vandalized the building causing several thousand dollars in damage. On 11/5/2012 at 0700 hours, Palmer Patrol Troopers responded the church again for another reported burglary and vandalism inside of the church. On 11/11/2012 at 0600 hours Palmer Patrol Troopers responded to the church for a third reported burglary and vandalism. Troopers completed an on scene investigation in all of the cases. At 0930 hours, Troopers contacted a 15 year old male at a residence on Kink Goose Bay Rd. and he was arrested for Burglary 2nd (x3) and Criminal Mischief 3(x3). Damage to the church for all three incidents was estimated at $40,000. The male was transported to Matsu Youth Facility and held without bail. Burk, age 28 of Wasilla, and Myriah M. Craig, age 20 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Burk had an outstanding AST arrest warrant for a Parole Violation on the original charge of Assault in the 1st Degree; Craig had hindered the prosecution of Burk. Further investigation revealed Burk and Craig had been in possession of controlled substances. Burk and Craig were also in possession of a stolen firearm. Subsequently, Burk and Craig were arrested for MICS 4th X2, MIW 2nd Degree, and Theft in the 2nd Degree. Burk was also arrested for MIW 3rd degree and the outstanding warrant. Craig was also arrested for Hindering Prosecution. Burk and Craig were remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial, and held without bail. The VPSO stopped to investigate and identified the intoxicated driver as 40-year-old Sean J. Hale. Hale, a resident of Eagle River, was investigated for DUI and subsequently arrested for that offense. Hale was later transported to the Kodiak City Jail and remanded on a single charge of DUI; bail was set at $500.00. Bartleson fled before AST arrived. Investigation determined Bartleson violated a Protective Order, committed Criminal Trespass I, assaulted a 27-year-old female, damaged property valued at $50.00, and committed multiple violations on his conditions of release from a previous charge. Bartleson was later located by AST and the Kodiak Police Department at a residence on Kouskov Street on Kodiak. Bartleson was arrested and lodged at the Kodiak Jail without bail. The pilot and sole occupant of the plane was identified as William Eggimann of Bethel. Eggimann was transported to Akiachak Health Clinic for precautionary reasons. The Piper Super Cub sustained extensive damage. The cause of the crash is under investigation and has been turned over to NTSB in Anchorage. Investigation determined that Jenna Fogelman, age 26, of Fairbanks had thrown a drink at a neighbor's door and was banging on her door and on a shared wall with the apartment. It was the second time that Troopers had been to the residence for a noise disturbance. Troopers told Fogelman to stop making noise at which point she began to yell and curse. AK Bureau of Highway Patrol ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: AK12248984 Type: Motor Vehicle Crash - Serious Injury Text: On 11/11/12, at 0107 hours, Troopers with South Central BHP team and Palmer Patrol responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Knik Goose Bay Road at Kathilyn Road. An investigation showed a Ford pickup being driven by Shane Warren, age 21 of Wasilla, was traveling East bound on Knik Goose Bay Road when the vehicle started to fishtail. The vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a Pontiac Sunfire being driven by Shane Cullison, age 18 of Wasilla. Cullison's vehicle was then struck by a Pontiac Grand Prix being driven by Amber Hubner, age 22 of Wasilla. Cullison was entrapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Central Mat-Su Fire Department. Warren was transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Alcohol and controlled substances are suspected of being a factor in the crash and the investigation is ongoing. Troopers from Girdwood, Cooper Landing and Girdwood BHP responded to the scene along with Fire and EMS resources from Moose Pass and LifeMed Helicopters. An initial investigation has revealed that Charles Gillick, age 78 of Soldotna was traveling southbound, drifted off the road, and struck an embankment. A passenger in the vehicle, Mary Gillick, age 76 of Soldotna, was pronounced deceased while en route to a local area hospital. Charles Gillick was also transported to a local area hospital for potential life threatening injuries. The vehicle sustained extensive front end damage. AST investigation is ongoing. The Seward Highway was closed for approximately 1 hour during the initial emergency response.
