Investigation revealed that a passenger Steven Benson, age 20 of Ketchikan had been consuming alcohol. Benson was issued a citation for Minor Consuming Alcohol and released at the scene. Investigation revealed that Alanna Brekke attempted to remove alcohol and lock herself in a room of the residence. While attempting to seize the alcohol from Brekke to prevent destruction, she resisted Troopers. She further resisted Troopers as she was being arrested. Brekke was arrested for MCA (habitual), Tampering with Physical Evidence and Resisting Arrest. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and held without bail pending arraignment. Investigation determined Cynthia Johnson, age 58 of Palmer, assaulted a family member and a guest by firing a .44 caliber handgun during an argument inside a residence. No one was injured during the shooting and Cynthia Johnson was subsequently arrested for two counts of assault in the 3rd degree and one count of misconduct involving weapons in the 2nd degree. Johnson was lodged at Mat-Su Pretrial facility and held without bail. The driver was identified as Geraldine Price, age 59, of Wasilla. An investigation revealed Price was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol and she was placed under arrest for DUI. Price was then transported and remanded into the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was held on $500 bail.
