A Detachment -------------------------------------------- Location: Hoonah Case number: AK12256633 Type: Search and Rescue Text: On 12/15/12, at 1939 hours, Ketchikan AST Dispatch received a report that Donald Bolton, age 50 of Hoonah, was overdue from checking his trap lines near Freshwater Bay, approximately 30 miles south of Hoonah. Bolton had went out alone on his snowmobile and he was supposed to be back at 1500 hours. At 2100 hours, four members from Hoonah SAR responded on snowmobiles toward Freshwater Bay. At 2220 hours, Bolton was located approximately 14 miles from Hoonah walking on the trail. Bolton stated that the track fell off his snowmobile at approximately 1100 hours when he was about 1 mile from Freshwater Bay and he started to walk back to Hoonah. Bolton was transported safely by Hoonah SAR back to Hoonah. Investigation revealed that Ernestine Ellis, age 53 of Ketchikan, was operating a motor vehicle while having no valid operator's license. Ellis was issued a summons to appear in court for NVOL and also received a traffic citation for Tail light Requirement . Investigation revealed that Evans had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While License Revoked. Evans was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $250. Investigation determined the driver, Trevor Hansen, 21, of Wasilla was driving without a valid license. Hansen was issued a misdemeanor citation to appear in court and released from the scene. A licensed passenger took possession of the vehicle at Hansen's request. Investigation on scene revealed that James E. Waddell Jr. age 54 of Palmer was driving his 2005 Ford Excursion east on Bogard Road when a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Cody J. Hannaman age 31 of Wasilla drove into the intersection from Cottonwood Loop Drive and into the path of Waddell Jr's vehicle. Both drivers reported wearing seatbelts. Hannaman was transported by private vehicle to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for a complaint of back pain. Waddell Jr. reported no injuries. A passenger in Hannaman's vehicle, James A. Leseman age 28 also of Wasilla, reported wearing his seatbelt and reported no injuries. Both vehicles were estimated a total loss. Hannaman was issued a citation for Failure To Yield and No Proof of Liability Insurance and released. On scene, Troopers contacted Sarah M. Thompson, age 19, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Thompson was under the influence of alcohol and attempted to enter the bar using another person's identification card. Thompson was issued a criminal citation for minor consuming alcohol and was released to a sober adult. Stokes initially purchased a Nonresident 7 day Sportfish License on 5/25/12, but did not purchase a license that qualified for a duplicate replacement. The vehicle was located on Airport Way near the overpass of the Parks Highway in Fairbanks. The driver, Russell J. Pritchett(23 YOA of Ft. Wainwright) was the sole occupant of the 2004, Dodge Durango. An investigation was conducted and Pritchett was arrested for DUI.
