Investigation revealed Shoshana Saffran, age 17 of Wasilla, was d riving in violation of her instruction permit by not having anyone 21 or ol der in the vehicle. Saffran was issued a misdemeanor citation and release d from the scene. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver. Investigation re vealed 28 year old Jason Canady of Palmer placed two family members in fear of serious physical injury by means of a dangerous instrument. Investigation revealed Scott Palmer, age 59 of Palmer, was driving while under the influence of alcohol with his 12 year old son in the vehicle. The vehicle went into the ditch multiple times until it got stuck after striking a mail box. Palmer was arrested for DUI and Reckless Endangerment and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $750 bail. Investigation determined the driver, John E. Knott, 47, of Wasilla was driving with a revoked license. Knott was issued a misdemeanor citation for the offense and released from the scene. A licensed driver responded and took possession of the vehicle at Knott's request. The VPSO's contacted Cynthia A. Williams 18, of Togiak who was aggressive and screaming at the VPSO's. Williams became more aggressive and was charged with disorderly conduct. While attempting to restrain Williams, she resisted the efforts by the VPSO's to be taken into custody. Williams was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She was transported to Dillingham and remanded at the Dillingham jail. Investigation determined Jonathan Wassillie Jr. 21, of Togiak went to another residence during the early morning hours and attempted to force his way into the occupied residence while he was intoxicated and armed with a firearm. A struggle between the home owner and Wassillie ensued over control of the firearm. The home owner was able to unload the ammunition from the firearm during the struggle and pushed Wassillie out of the house before barricading himself back in the house. The home owner had minor injuries as a result of the struggle. AST and the VPSO's were unable to find Wassillie in the village and a warrant was requested for Assault 3rd degree, Burglary 1st degree and misconduct involving weapons in the 4th degree. The driver failed to stop for a dis tance but finally came to a stop. The driver was identified as Marc McDona ld, age 43 of Houston. An investigation showed that McDonald was driving w ith a revoked license, was in possession of marijuana, and was in violation of his conditions of release on a separate criminal charge. McDonald was arrested and remanded into Mat-Su Pretrial where bail was set at $2500. Su bsequent investigation showed that McDonald also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing. Bail on the warr ant was $750. At 1420 hours, AST Patrol located the vehicle and contacted the driver Jesse L. Edwards, age 29 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Edwards to be driving while intoxicated and on a Rev oked drivers license from a previous DUI. Further investigation revealed E dwards to have two convictions for DUI within 10 years making this DUI a Fe lony. Edwards was arrested and remanded to Mat Su Pretrial where bail was set at $5500.00 C / C and a CATP.
