Bill Miller is a Captain for the Anchorage Police Department. Bill started his civilian law enforcement career in 1984, as an Alaska State Trooper. In 1986 he joined the Anchorage Police Department. Captain Miller has held a variety of assignments from patrol to detective, internal affairs, and many others.
Bill has instructed officer survival since 1989 and has taught at the National Police Academy in Costa Rica, Central America. Bill has his Bachelors degree in Human Services/Criminal Justice and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University. He holds an Advanced Certificate and is an Alaska Police Standards Council instructor certified to teach methods of instruction, officer survival, firearms, domestic violence, and the first line supervisor course.
