Rayme Vinson retired from the Juneau Police Department after 32 years in Law Enforcement. Rayme's experience includes Presidential Security for President Nixon while in the U. S. Marine Corp. As a civilian officer, Rayme served in the following capacities: Patrolman, Uniformed Investigator, Drug Investigator, SWAT Officer, Bomb Technician, Firearms Instructor and Chief of Police.
Rayme was a SWAT Officer for over 25 years and a Certified Bomb Tech for 23 years. He was an original member of the second SWAT team formed in Alaska and attended training when APD's team was formed. After retirement, Rayme worked as a private contractor for the U.S. State Department providing VIP protection in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Rayme is APSC certified to teach firearms, explosive entry, & defensive tactics and is also certified by the State Department to teach handguns, shotguns, M4/M16, SAW, M240, and M203.
