Investigation revealed the driver, Leonard Driscoll, 37 years of age of Ketchikan was driving on a suspended license. Driscoll was issued a summons with a mandatory court date of 01/15/13 at 1:00 p.m. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver. EMS responded and pronounced deceased Paul Pankowski, age 79 of Chickaloon, deceased. Investigation revealed the death was the result of natural causes and no foul play is suspected. The two hunters were identified as Jonathan Mojin, and Jarett Mojin. Both individuals departed Nunapitchuk around noon to go hunting near Devil's Elbow. The two were expected home that evening; however, never returned. A HASTY team was launched from Nunapitchuk yesterday, but was unable to find any signs of the two hunters due to weather conditions. Ground search teams are preparing to get under way at first light this morning. Additionally, Alaska State Troopers will be launching air support to assist in the search. On 12-27-12, at about 1230 hours, ground searchers located both brothers in good condition approximately 15 miles north of Nunapitchuk. Both were escorted back to Nunapitchuk. Eric Nikolas Tomsha, 46 of North Pole, was subsequently arrested for DUI and Resisting Arrest. He was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center and remanded. He is being without bail. Investigation revealed Lynda Raymond, 70, of Homer was driving a 2002 Toyota Tacoma eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle. She crossed into the opposite lane of travel striking a 2002 GMC Envoy being driven by Richard Cameron, 64, of Homer. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were uninjured. Damage to the Tacoma was estimated at $1,500. Damage to the Envoy was estimated at $5,000. Raymond was issued a citation for Failure to Exercise Due Care to Avoid a Collision. Assault 4th Degree, DUI, Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree Text: On 12-27-12 at approximately 0106 hours, the AST dispatch received a 911 call regarding an assault in progress. While responding to the scene, the individual was attempting to break down the door. AST arrived on scene and made contact with Michael Robinson, age 38 of Sterling. Further investigation revealed Robinson had assaulted a family member and after doing so, attempted to drive away from the scene while intoxicated. Robinson returned to the residence and attempted to break down the door. Robinson was subsequently arrested for DV Assault in the 4th degree, DUI and Criminal Mischief in the 5th degree. Robinson was transported to the Wildwood Pretrial facility and held without bail. Investigation revealed the passenger, Kenneth Vance, age 44 of Palmer had two outstanding warrants for his arrest for Failure to Appear for DWLS and Failure to Appear for a Change of Plea Hearing with bail set at $1750. Further investigation revealed the driver, David Anderson, age 31 of Palmer, was driving Vance around in the Valley to distribute crystal methamphetamine for payment in the form of methamphetamine, and also possessed a small amount of marijuana. Vance was found to possess eight bags of methamphetamine with a street value of about $400. Vance was arrested on the two outstanding warrants and additional charges of MICS 3rd Degree and MICS 4th Degree. Vance was remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility with bail set at $4250+CATP. Anderson was arrested on 1/2/13 for charges of MICS 3rd Degree, MICS 4th Degree(2X), and MICS 6th Degree. Anderson was remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility with bail set at $5000+CATP. Investigation at the scene revealed Sandra Lee Ward, age 50 of Anchorage, was Driving While Intoxicated. Investigation further revealed that Ward's driver's license was previously revoked for Driving While Intoxicated. Ward was charged with DUI, Refusing to Submit to a Chemical Test and Driving While License Revoked. Ward was transported to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial facility where she was remanded into custody on $2000.00 bail. Ward's vehicle was impounded.
