The vehicle was pulled over after AST identified the driver to have a suspended license. Investigation revealed that Steven Skultka, age 42 of Ketchikan was operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended. Further investigation revealed that S. Skultka was in possession of Marijuana and paraphernalia inside the vehicle. S. Skultka was issued a summons at the scene for DWLS and MICS 6th Degree. Troopers responded and contacted Michael Colette, age 25, of North Pole. Colette challenged Troopers to fight and while being placed under arrest, Colette fought with Troopers. Evidence was gathered that tended to show that a suspect, later identified as Nicholas Morike, age 33 of Palmer, was distributing illegal images online. On 1/3/13, the Anchorage District Court issued an arrest warrant for Morike on charges of Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography. On 1/4/13, Morike was located in Palmer, Ak, arrested without incident, and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial with bail set at $35,000. The investigation revealed that Timothy Merton Willson, 33 years old, of Chugiak became involved in an altercation with another male subject. During this altercation, a rifle was fired, with the bullet entering in to the passenger compartment of the vehicle occupied by the victim. Upon contacting AST, the victim was able to provide a description of the vehicle that Willson departed in as a red Suburban with a plastic back window. Through efforts of the Anchorage Police Department and Troopers from Palmer, the described vehicle was stopped on the Glenn Highway. Willson was arrested for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Assault in the Third Degree and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial. There were two passengers in Willson's vehicle who were detained and subsequently released. Willson appeared in the Palmer Court for arraignment on 1/4/13 and bail was set at $100,000 cash only and court approved third party custodian. The case is under investigation by the Alaska Bureau of Investigation, Matsu Major Crimes Unit.
