Further investigation revealed that someone had for ced entry into the Hooper Bay City Office causing damage and stole approxim ately $3,200.00 from the City Office. Further investigation revealed that someone had forced entry into the traditional c ouncil building causing damage and approximately $900.00 and 4 cases of sod a where taken from the building. Further investigation revealed that Cedric Yunak, 27 yoa, got into an argument with a household member that esc alated into a physical altercation. Cedric choked and punched the househ old member causing pain, and also punched a juvenile household member causi ng pain. When a Village Police Officer (VPO) arrived at the residence, C edric grabbed a knife and turned it on himself. During a struggle over t he knife Cedric turned the knife towards the VPO. Cedric was eventually detained and the VPO sustained minor cuts to his hand caused by the knife. Cedric was arrested and transported the YKCC in Bethel. The VPO and household members injured in the incident received medical treatment in Sca mmon Bay and Bethel. Further investigation revealed that Paulette Stone, 21 yoa, was intoxicated when she assaulted a juvenile household member. During the assault Paulette punched the juvenile household member multiple times on the face and head. The juvenile household member was also struc k on the head with a medium sized kitchen pot, and choke by Paulette. Pa ulette was arrested and transported the YKCC in Bethel. Aniak Vol. Fire Department medical personnel responded and aft er conferring with YKHC medical staff in Bethel, Cutter was pronounced dece ased. State Troopers responded and investigated. Cutter was reportedly c onsuming alcoholic beverages with family members prior to dying. There we re no signs of foul play and alcohol was a factor in this incident. N ext of kin was on scene and the State Medical Examiner's Office released th e body to the family. Investigation revealed a moose entered the lane of travel and collided with the car in the roadway. No injuries were reported and the driver was wearing a seatbelt. Damage to the vehicle was estimated to be over $2000.
