Investigation showed that the driver David Rawding, 20, of Thorne Bay was driving a 2003 Ford Pickup north bound on the Thorne Bay Road when he hit a patch of ice and slid off the roadway rolling over into the ditch. Rawding was wearing his seat belt and refused medical care on scene and was given a ride by a bystander to the clinic where he was treated and released for minor injuries. Alcohol was not a factor. Damage was estimated at $5,000. Investigation revealed Christopher Watson, age 22 of Big Lake, had assaulted a family member. Further investigation revealed Watson to be in violation of probation by drinking alcohol. Investigation revealed 24yo Brett Howard of Wasilla had marijuana in the vehicle. Howard was issued a misdemeanor citation for the marijuana and a minor offense citation for failure to provide proof of insurance before being released on-scene. Investigation revealed Russell E. Madison, age 40 of Wasilla, recklessly placed a family member in fear of imminent physical injury. Further investigation revealed Madison was in possession of methamphetamine. Madison was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV and Assault IV (DV). Russell was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded without bail. On 2/27/13, another Yute Air Cessna 207 carrying five passengers performed an emergency landing approximately one mile west of the community of Tuluksak. In both incidents, the pilots and passengers did not sustain any life threatening injuries. Both aircraft sustained damage to the nose gear and propeller. Investigation revealed that Tukaya was intoxicated and was operating his ATV. During a search of his clothing, the VPSO located a small quantity of Marijuana. Oscar was arrested and then released the next day by the Dillingham Court on his own recognizance. Investigation revealed that Evan was intoxicated when he punched his 15-year-old child in the head because the teen was not listening to him as the teenager did the dishes. Evan was arrested and held at the Togiak holding facility until his arraignment. Investigation revealed William Harris, age 60 of Valdez, was traveling north on the Seward Highway in a 2011 Chevrolet pickup. Harris lost control of the vehicle on ice covered roads and struck a tree next to the road. Harris reported wearing his safety belt and was not injured. Alcohol was not a factor. The complainant reported the vehicle was varying speeds, slowing to 25mph in a 55mph zone, swerving, and all over the road. Lydia was subsequently arrested for DUI and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree.
