A Detachment -------------------------------------------------- Location: Haines Case Number: AK13016504 Type: Motor Vehicle Collision - Injury Text: On 03/09/13 at 2320 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a collision at 5.3 mile Mud Bay Road in Haines. Investigation revealed a 17 yoa male driver from and lone occupant from Haines struck a rock on the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway, crashed onto the beach and came to rest in Letnikoff Cove. The male was able to walk to a nearby residence where he notified the Haines Police Department and requested medical attention. He was transported to the Haines Clinic where he was treated for non-life threatening head injuries and hypothermia. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The operator was later identified as Brian Petersen, age 43, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Petersen was operating the vehicle with a revoked driver's license and was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Petersen was arrested for DWLR, Fail to Stop at the Direction of a PO 2nd and MICS 6th. Petersen was transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where he was held on $1250 bail. Investigation revealed Robert Beans Jr., age 33, of Wasilla had assaulted a family member. Beans was arrested for Assault 4 DV, transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where he was held without bail. During the investigation AST contacted Echo Seagren, age 23 of Wasilla, who was contacted as passenger of a reported stolen vehicle during the incident. Seagren was subsequently released from the scene. Further investigation through legal process revealed Seagren was in possession of methamphetamine. On 03/09/13 at approximately 2000 hours, AST contacted Seagren during a traffic stop near the Williwaw subdivision in Wasilla. Seagren was subsequently arrested for the original charge of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree for the incident that occurred on 02/17/13. Seagren was transported to the MSPT facility in Palmer and held on $2,500 bail. An investigation disclosed the driver, Rochelle Adams, age 33 of Anchorage, was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Adams was issued a misdemeanor summons to appear in Nenana court.The vehicle was released to a licensed driver. The driver of the vehicle, Rebecca Jankowitz (age 23 of Girdwood) was issued a summons to appear in the District Court at Anchorage after investigation revealed she was driving on a suspended license. Jankowitz was also issued a citation for the moving violation and released from the stop. Troopers responded to the scene and contacted Casey B. Davis, age 37, of Ninilchik who was highly intoxicated in violation of his parole. Further investigation at the scene revealed that Davis had assaulted a family member prior to AST arrival. Incident to the contact, Michael J. Pitka, 29, was arrested at the direction of Probation Officers for violating conditions of his Felony Probation. VPSOs found and seized numerous baggies of suspected marijuana, which were packaged in a manner indicative of sales. Pitka was transported and remanded at YKCC pending arraignments on 3/9/2013. AK Bureau of Highway Patrol ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case: AK13016648 Type: MVC-I Text: On 03-10-13 at 1819 hours, Alaska State Troopers Bureau of Highway Patrol and Alaska State Troopers Patrol units responded to Vine Road south of Shady Grove Drive in Wasilla for a motor vehicle rollover. Investigation revealed Stormy Rebecca Boylan, age 23 of Wasilla, was driving her 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt south on Vine Road near Shady Grove Drive when her vehicle slid in the slush on the road, entered onto the snow berm along the edge of the road and overturned. Boylan along with two infant passengers were wearing seatbelts and were transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries. Damages to Boylan's vehicle were estimated at $6000.
