The cabin received an estimated $130 in damages and a revolver valued at $500 is missing. The investigation is continuing. Compass Drive in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Heather Solomon, age 20 of Wasilla, was traveling south bound on KGB Road in a 1991 Jeep Cherokee. Solomon's jeep subsequently rear ended a 2007 Dodge Durango operated by Jessica Fish, age 35 of Wasilla. Both vehicles received major damage and Solomon's Jeep was towed from the scene. Solomon was transported to the MSRMC in Palmer and treated for non-life threatening injuries. All parties reported wearing their seat belts and Solomon was issued a citation for Driver's to Exercise Due Care to Avoid a Collision. Investigation revealed Paul Nelson, age 72 of Big Lake, was found deceased of natural causes inside a building on the property. The SME was n otified and no foul play is suspected. Investigation revealed Chandra Wenrich, age 24 of Kodiak, was in an argument with an ex-boyfriend after a night of drinking. At some point during the argument Wenrich used a knife to injure her ex-boyfriend causing a significant laceration and risk of death. Wenrich was subsequently arrested for Assault 1-DV and transported to Kodiak Police Department where no bail was set. The ex-boyfriend was transported to Kodiak Providence Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and later released. Troopers responded and located the four wheeler, but no operator was in the area. A short time later Troopers located a person walking who had snow all over her back and head. This person turned out to be Morgan Simeon, who admitted she had been driving the four wheeler. Simeon failed the Field Sobriety Tests. Morgan then attempted to escape custody by walking out of Aniak Post. She was brought back and later transported without incident to Bethel for remand to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Complex to await arraignment. Investigation determined the two males, who were both traveling on the same 4-wheeler, had been traveling southbound on Basargin Road at a high rate of speed as a red Ford Escape approached in the northbound lane. The driver of the 4-wheeler attempted to slow down and lost control of the 4-wheeler. It slid into the front of the Ford Escape, causing both riders to be thrown from the 4-wheeler. Both of the juvenile males were transported to South Peninsula Hospital for serious injuries sustained during the collision. None the occupants in the Ford Escape were injured. Investigation revealed both Buster and Lee were in possession of marijuana. Buster was also in possession of a gravity knife. Buster was arrested and remanded to Homer jail. Investigation revealed that Kunz was driving with a revoked driver's license. Further investigation revealed that Kunz had a handgun concealed on her person and failed to inform the trooper of its presence. Kunz was arrested and remanded at the Homer Jail in lieu of $750 bond. Troopers responded to the scene and contacted Casey B. Davis, age 37, of Ninilchik who was highly intoxicated in violation of his parole. Further investigation at the scene revealed that Davis had assaulted a family member prior to AST arrival. Davis was arrested at the scene without incident, transported and remanded to the Homer Police Department where he was held without bail. Investigation determined the front-end loader, as well as a large amount of diesel fuel, had been stolen from the property. AST responded to the residence and identified the male as Trevor Kearney, age 44 of Happy Valley. Investigation determined Kearney was the 30-year-old man's roommate and had created a disturbance in the residence. In addition, his actions caused the other man to fear for his personal safety. Kearney was placed under arrest for DV Assault IV and remanded to Homer Jail without further incident. Troopers responded and located the vehicle stuck in a snow bank on Garroutte Street in Ninilchik. The driver was identified as Jeffrey Pasco, age 66, of Ninilchik. Investigation revealed Pasco to be impaired by alcohol. Pasco was arrested and transported to the Homer Jail where he was held without bail pending arraignment. She and the passenger (the vehicle owner), Jonathan Taylor, 58 of Anch or Point, were not injured and both were wearing safety belts. Sales was with a friend Abriana Halemamo (age 18 of Hawaii). Sales didn't have any equipment with them and were getting cold. Alaska State Troopers Helo-1 responded to the scene. Helo-1 located the two females near the top of Flat Top and landed to pick them up. While Helo-1 was on the ground on top of Flat Top Mountain, a person snowboarding fell and dislocated his shoulder. Helo-1 transported the two females to the parking lot. While Helo 1 was transporting the females, several hikers and an Alaska State Trooper escorted the injured snowboarder identified as Dmitry Surnin (age 22 of Anchorage) to a landing zone. Helo-1 returned and transported Surnin to Providence Alaska Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Subsequent investigation found on 3/13/13 at approximately 1400 hours, Joel Jacko (age 28 of Anchorage) was operating a 1966 PA-23 Piper Aztec from Merrill Field in Anchorage to Nondalton. The aircraft suffered engine failure and the plane crashed into the trees. Jacko was uninjured in the crash. NTSB is continuing the investigation. It was reported that he would be smuggling marijuana. As a result of this contact, 145 grams of marijuana (5.1 ounce) was found hidden inside his checked luggage. The street value of the marijuana is about $7,250 in the village. Charges of MICS 4, a class C felony, will be forwarded to the District Attorney's Office for review. AK Bureau of Highway Patrol --------------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: AK13018344 Type: Driving in Violation of License Restriction Text: On 3/17/2013, at 2022 hours, Troopers with the Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol Southcentral Team stopped a vehicle on the Parks Highway near Church Road for speeding. During the stop it was determined that the driver, Rhonda Preslar Wohlbach, age 41 of Chugiak, had a restriction on her license requiring her to have an ignition interlock device installed in any vehicle she operated. Further investigation showed that the vehicle did not have an ignition interlock device installed as required. Preslar Wohlbach was given a summons to appear in court at a later date and released. The driver was identified as Holly A. Wheeler, age 32, of Wasilla. An investigation revealed Wheeler was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol and she was placed under arrest for DUI. Wheeler was then transported and remanded into the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was held on $500 bail.
