A Detachment Location: Ketchikan Case number: 10-62446 Type: Death Investigation Text: On 7/10/2010 at approximately 1021 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan received a report of a death onboard the F/V Pacific Queen at Foggy Bay, approximately 45 miles south of Ketchikan. Investigation revealed 45 year old Brian E. Sheldon of Seattle, WA had passed away between the hours of 0700 and 1000 on 7/10/2010 from what appears to be natural causes. The State Medical Examiner's Office was contacted and an autopsy will be conducted. No indication of foul play was found. The next of kin have been notified. At approximately 2155 hours, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near mile 9 of the North Tongass Highway. The operator was identified as 39 year old Tracey L. Bostic of Ketchikan. Investigation revealed Bostic was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI. Bostic was transported to the Ketchikan Police Department where she refused to provide a breath sample as required by law. Bostic was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was remanded on the charges of DUI and Refusal. Bail was set at $1,000.00. Investigation revealed that Sven C. Olson, age 24 of Wasilla, created a disturbance at the bar and was intoxicated. Troopers attempted to arrest Olson who became combative and resisted arrest. The driver was identified as Jason L. Campbell, age 31 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Campbell failed to immediately notify the Trooper of a firearm on his person. Investigation revealed Leslie Sharpe, age 55, of Big Lake, was driving her white 1999 GMC Yukon on Kluane Drive approaching the intersection with Klutina Drive. Sharpe's vehicle was impacted on the passenger side door by an ATV operated by a juvenile. Sharpe reported no injuries and was wearing her safety belt. The juvenile received minor injuries and was transported to his residence by EMS. Both vehicles received minor damage. Investigation revealed that a yellow mountain bike, a 16 gauge Browning shotgun, 2 small television sets, a snow blower, and various tools were taken from the residence. It is estimated that approximately $1,600.00 in items were taken from the residence. The case is currently under investigation. When Troopers attempted to contact the individuals on the Medvejie fish pens, the suspects failed to stop their vessel as directed. One of the suspects and boat operator was identified as Jonathan W. McGraw Jr, age 36, of Sitka. McGraw was subsequently stopped on Sawmill Creek Road by Sitka Police as he towed his boat from the water. Investigation revealed McGraw and Joshua L. Gradin, age 22, of Burbank, WA had dumped the three dead King Salmon in Silver Bay shortly after fleeing from Troopers. Both suspects were charged with failing to release snagged king salmon, and waste of salmon. Gradin was also charged for failing to record a non-resident King Salmon landing. Charges of Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Office and Violation of Conditions of Release are being forwarded to the DAO on McGraw. Gradin's total bail was $370. McGraw's total bail was $410. Both suspects were summoned to Sitka Court for arraignment, on the waste of fish charge.
