Investigation revealed that Heinz Frey, age 60, of Wasilla, assaulted two family members during an altercation. Frey was arrested for DV Assault III and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail, pending arraignment. The vehicle failed to yield and finally came to a stop at the intersection of the Parks Hwy and the Palmer Wasilla Hwy. the driver Jason Renner age 33, of Anchorage, was arrested for Failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer II and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. The driver was identified as Sarah J. Mittlestadt, age 50 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Mittlestadt was driving while her license was suspended for failure to provide proof of insurance. Mittlestadt was issued a criminal citation to appear in court and released. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver. The driver was identified as Raquel Weaver, age 19 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Weaver had license plates that did not belong on the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Sheena Davison, age 27 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Davison had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance. Davison was arrested on the warrant, transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility. Weaver was issued a criminal citation to appear in court for misuse of plates. The vehicle was impounded. Anderson was driving a 1988 Toyota Camry. Investigation revealed that the license plates displayed on the vehicle belonged to another registered vehicle. Anderson received a summons to appear in court at the scene for Misuse of Plates and was released. The Expedition refused to stop and lead AST on a pursuit which ended on Fenton Avenue in Palmer. The driver was contacted and identified as Ruth Hoyt, 34 of Palmer. Investigation revealed that Hoyt was driving under the influence of alcohol. Hoyt was arrested for DUI and Failure to stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer 2nd Degree. Hoyt was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where she was remanded on $1,500.00 bail. Frantzich was aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest and wanted to turn himself in. Investigation revealed that Frantzich had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of Assault in the 4th Degree. Frantzich was arrested and transported to the Mat-Su Pre-trial Facility where he was remanded on $1,000.00 bail. Crabtree, age 44 from Wasilla, as the driver of a silver Subaru Legacy during a traffic stop near Knik Goose Bay Road and Alix Drive for a traffic violation. Investigation revealed that Crabtree was operating the vehicle under he influence of alcohol and with a revoked driver's license. Crabtree was arrested for Felony DUI and for DWLR and transported to the Mat-Su West Trooper Post where he was requested to submit to a DataMaster breath test. Crabtree refused to take the test and was additionally charged with Felony Refusal. Crabtree was transported to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where he was remanded into custody and held on $7,500.00 bail. Crabtree's vehicle was impounded to MTR. During the investigation Troopers arrested 47 YOA, Terrance H Ward, of Wasilla for Disorderly Conduct. Ward was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Ward was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded and held on $250 bail. Two crewmen were found clinging to a buoy and were rescued. The third crewman, Thomas Sagoonick, 36 of Shaktoolik, has not been located. Personal flotation devices were not used. Alexie was taken into custody and later transported to Bethel where he was remanded accordingly to YKCC. This incident is still under investigation by the Alaska State Troopers. Case number: 10-65209 Type: On 7/17/10 at about 0340 hrs AST was dispatched to the vicinity of Chena Pump Rd. and Helldiver St. to a citizen report of racing vehicles. At the Chena Pump / Tanana River Wayside a suspect vehicle was located and was observed being operated in a suspicious manner, further investigation revealed this sedan was weaving continuously in it's traffic lane as it drove back onto Chena Pump Rd. A traffic stop was made near Roland Rd. and contact made with the driver, identified as Craig James Titus, age 24, from Minto. Investigation resulted in Titus being arrested for DUI. Investigation revealed Daniel Scheibl and Dave Critchfield, both of Fairbanks were canoeing the Yukon River when they became separated from their canoe. Scheibl and Critchefield were transported to Stevens Village on 7/15/10, and on 7/16/10 they were transported back to Fairbanks by state aircraft. Case number: 10-65137 Type: MVC - Injury Text: On 7/16/10 at approx. 2126 hrs., AST Fairbanks responded to a motor vehicle collision at Mi. 18 of the Dalton Hwy. Investigation revealed Walter Snyder Jr. and Gene Frederick, both of Virginia, were traveling southbound on the Dalton Hwy in muddy conditions when they lost control of their motorcycles and hit the ditch. After being detained due to officer safety reasons, passenger Erica K. N. Kunaknana, 26, of Fairbanks fled while troopers were questioning others in the car. Kunaknana was still handcuffed, but managed to persuade a passing motorist into giving her a ride from the area. The driver reported dropping her off near the intersection of Farmers Loop and Steese Highway once he noticed she was handcuffed. Troopers, including K-9 Arco, searched the area without finding Kunaknana. A records check found Kunaknana had failed to report to jail to serve time for a case out of Barrow. Anyone with information regarding Kunaknana's whereabouts is asked to call the Fairbanks trooper post at 451-5100. Hostetter was issued a summons to appear in the District Court at Kenai after investigation revealed that he drove the vehicle from Ninilchik to Soldotna without a valid license. Investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle, John H. Ryan, age 56, of Seward, was driving with a cancelled license. Ryan's license was cancelled by DMV from 10-17-09 with on ending date. Ryan was issued a misdemeanor citation for DWLC and released from the scene. Ryan was also issued a citation for speeding. The vehicle was towed from the scene. An investigation revealed that Nicholas Lime, age 25 of Anchorage, was operating the pickup while under the influence of alcohol. It was also determined that Lime had been in the possession of two firearms in the interior of the pickup when he was DUI. Lime was arrested on the charged of DUI and Misconduct Involving Weapons 4th Degree. Lime was eventually released on his own recognizance. An investigation revealed the driver of the van, 57 year old Wasilla resident Kenneth Langlois, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. During the investigation it was also revealed that Langlois was in possession of a loaded handgun in the interior of his vehicle at the time. They reported their location as Esther Passage, and also that no persons were injured. The P/V Sound Justice was anchored a short distance away and responded to the scene. Two good Samaritans assisted in "beaching" the vessel. Assessment of the damage revealed an eight foot gash in the hull. Plans were made for the boat and party involved. On 7-17-10, the party of four loaded on the Trooper boat and were transported to Whittier. Skipper, Patrick Hallett 32 YOA of Anchorage, is currently making plans to salvage the vessel.
