Ecuyer was arrested, transported and remanded into the Ketchikan Correctional Facility on charges of theft in the third degree. Investigation by the Alaska State Troopers with the assistance of the Hoonah Police Department revealed that the victim was shot in the arm by his 44-year-old cousin during a hunting accident. The victim's injury was non-life threatening and he was transported to Sitka for treatment of his wound. Both persons reside in Juneau and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in this incident. The investigation is continuing. AST responded and investigation revealed that Marvin Charles Jr., 33 years of age of Saxman had assaulted his girlfriend. Further investigation revealed that Charles was currently on conditions of release. Charles was arrested for DV assault in the fourth degree and violating conditions of release. Investigation revealed that Dan Starkweather, age 28 of Hollis, had been travelling westbound on the Klawock-Hollis Highway near mile 10 when the 2002 Chevrolet Tracker he was operating hit a patch of ice left the roadway. After entering the ditch, the vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its roof. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $3000.00. Starkweather was wearing a safety belt at the time of the collision. Starkweather denied injury from the collision and refused transport by medics. Starkweather was issued a citation for having no proof of insurance for his vehicle. Investigation revealed Joseph D. Scott, age 18 of Big Lake, Terry J. Keel, age 19 of Big Lake, and a 17 yoa male of Big Lake went to the residence on Rocky Lake Drive and forced entry into the residence causing approximately $2000 damage. In the process, the intrusion alarm was tripped, and all subjects fled the scene; no reported theft. Scott, Keel, and the 17 yoa male were all contacted at a nearby Big Lake residence and subsequently arrested. All were arrested for Burglary I, Criminal Mischief III, and Criminal Trespass I. In addition, the 17 yoa male was charged with Possession of Burglary Tools and Scott was additionally charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence I. Investigation revealed that on 11/05/12, during the evening hours, Albert S. Smith, 63 of Hooper Bay, attempted to have sexual intercourse with a female at his residence after providing her with homebrew. While this is occurring, he assaulted her and pointed a shotgun at her further demanding that she have sex with him. The female fled the residence. Smith was contacted at his residence and arrested. Smith resisted by fighting with the officers and kicked one of the officers on the leg. Homebrew was seized from the residence. During that time period Holden obtained several resident licenses including a Permanent Identification card (PID) giving him lifetime hunting and fishing benefits, and several resident registration permits. Investigation revealed that Holden also had harvested a Brown Bear and Moose under his claims of residency. This investigation stemmed from a contact with the Sitka Wildlife Troopers in Tebenkoff Bay on Kuiu Island on 6/4/12. Holden has a mandatory court appearance in Petersburg District Court.
