Investigation revealed Michael Beane, age 24 of Wasilla, was driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license revoked. Investigation revealed Beane has two DUI convictions within the last 10 years, making this DUI a felony. Beane was also on probation for felony DUI and violated his conditions by consuming alcohol. Beane was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. Investigation revealed Daniel R. Diselrod, age 56 of Wasilla, was operating his red 2009 Chevrolet Aveo southbound on the Parks Highway when he lost control and skidded into the guardrail. Diselrod reported wearing his seat belt and sustained no injuries. Diselrod's vehicle was totaled in the collision and no citations were issued. The complainant, an Off-Duty Police Officer, reported a vehicle was driving recklessly and nearly struck him three times. The Off-Duty Police Officer contacted the driver of the Neon who stopped on the side of the road. The Officer identified himself as a Police Officer and ordered the driver to stop. The driver who was later identified as Vasily Avetsiuk, age 31 of Wasilla failed to comply and sped off. Avetsiuk continued driving to a residence on Lynn Drive. Alaska State Troopers arrived at the residence moments later and spoke to Avetsiuk through an open window. Avetsiuk refused to exit the residence and threatened to harm the Trooper. A perimeter was set-up on the residence and approximately two hours later Avetsiuk eventually gave up and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Avetsiuk was arrested and charged with Assault on a Police Officer in the 3rd and 4th Degrees, DUI, DUI-Refusal, Eluding in the 2nd Degree, Reckless Driving and Driving in Violation of an Instructional Permit. Avetsiuk was transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and held on $5,000 bail plus Court Approved Third Party Custodian. The investigation revealed that Clyde E. Mitchell, 23 YOA of Selawik, repeatedly beat, kicked and pulled the head hair on his gi rlfriend then strangled her during his fit of rage. The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Mitchell was locat ed, arrested for Assault 2nd and Assault 4th (DV), transported to Kotzebue and subsequently remanded to the Kotzebue Regional Jail where he was held w ithout bail. Alcohol was a factor in the case. Text: On 11-11-12 at approximately 1230 hours, AST was on patrol in Dillingham when a 15-year-old male juvenile stepped into the roadway in front of a moving marked patrol vehicle and would not move. The Trooper contacted the juvenile who was uncooperative. The Trooper attempted to gather more information when the juvenile punched toward the Trooper. A struggle ensued where the teenager continued to punch and spit on the Trooper. He was restrained by the Trooper and had minimal injuries. The Trooper was not injured. The juvenile was taken into custody. As the Trooper was en-route to the Dillingham Police Department the juvenile removed a small lighter from his clothing and started the back seat of the patrol vehicle on fire. The juvenile was removed from the vehicle and the fire was extinguished. The patrol vehicle suffered moderate damage. Juvenile Justice and the Office of Children's Services have been notified. The juvenile was later transported to Anchorage and the above charges are being pursued.
