B Detachment ------------------------------------------------- Location: Wasilla Case number: 11-128869 Type: Assault IV (DV), Criminal Mischief IV (DV), Interfering With Report of Domestic Violence Text: On 12/30/2011 at approximately 1712 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a possible assault near the Three Bears store in Palmer. Investigation revealed that Daniel Wuestenberg, age 29, of Palmer had placed a family member in fear of being assaulted, damaged property belonging to a family member and interfered with the victims attempt to contact the Troopers. Wuestenberg was arrested and transported to the Mat-Su Pre Trial Facility where he was held without bail. The driver was identified as Marcie Baggette, age 35, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Baggette was operating a motor vehicle while impaired and under the influence of alcohol. Baggette was arrested for DUI, transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and held on $500 bail. Investigation revealed Heather Meyer, age 24, of Wasilla lost control of her 2009 Ford Focus and crashed into a road sign. The vehicle sustained minor damage. The driver was reported wearing her seatbelt. Upon arrival Troopers contacted Tonchee M. Lonewolf, age 26, of Houston. Investigation revealed Lonewolf was in possession of a controlled substance. During the course of the Trooper's investigation Lonewolf attempted to damage state equipment. Subsequently, Lonewolf was arrested for MICS 4th Degree and Disorderly Conduct. Lonewolf was remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held with bail set at $5,000. Investigation revealed Bethany Arrisi, age 19, of Wasilla was traveling eastbound on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and slowed for an emergency vehicle to pass. Sheena Benningfield, age 29, of Kenai was driving a 2004 Ford Focus and was unable to stop on the icy road and rear-ended Arrisi's 1998 Mazda SUV. No injuries were reported and both drivers were wearing seat belts. There was minimal damage to both vehicles and they were driven from the scene. Benningfield was issued a citation for Fail to Provide Proof of Insurance. Ignatius Waskey, 68 years of age, of Mountain Village, was reported to be out cutting wood by himself approximately 30 miles from the village. Ignatius was reported to be 3 hours overdue and with the outside ambient air temperature at -35 degrees Fahrenheit the St. Mary's Troopers launched a hasty team from Mountain Village to attempt to locate him. At approximately 2230 hours family members reported to Troopers that the hasty team located Ignatius approximately 10 miles below Mountain Village while he was walking home. Ignatius was uninjured, cold, and tired, but in otherwise good spirits. He reportedly had problems with his snow machine. A job well done for Larry George and Jeff Andrews, of Mountain Village, who were the two hasty team members that braved the extremely cold weather and quickly located Ignatius during his ordeal. AK Bureau of Investigation Location: Bethel Case Number: 11-129169 Type: Probation Violation Text: On 12/31/2011, Bethel WAANT was at a local air carrier in Bethel on an unrelated investigation when a local resident of Bethel was observed taking delivery of an alcohol shipment. Bethel WAANT learned that the shipper of the alcohol, currently a resident of Anchorage, is on conditons of misdemeanor probation with alcohol restrictions. The recipient was contacted at his home a short time later and the alcohol was seized. It consisted of 5 cases of beer, and 12-750ML bottles of distilled spirits. Additional investigation showed that another alcohol shipment had been recieved by the Bethel resident earlier in the month of December, shipped by the same person in Anchorage. Charges of probation violation will be forwarded to the Bethel District Attorney's Office. A passenger inside the vehicle, Daniel Osmar (age 19 of Ninilchik), was issued a mandatory court citation for minor consuming alcohol. A second passenger inside the vehicle, Jonathan Self (age 21 of Ninilchik), was arrested for violating his conditions of felony probation by consuming an excessive amount of alcohol.
